Description
The number of people who start writing a book is much larger than the number who manage to finish it. But no worries, we are here to help you.With our writing tools you can track your progress thus far, plan your novel, write your novel and be able to focus on what matters for you the most: FINISHING THE DAMN BOOK!
Use the application in your native language. The application is currently available in English, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, French, Spanish, Chinese, Italian, Korean and Chinese.
Backup
Scared of losing your progress? Don't worry, we've got a backup system for you. You can manually save your databases to our secured cloud. Only if you want to though. Now you can access or recover all your data on all your android devices.
Timer
Start our 25 minutes timer and focus on your writing. You won't be able to see your notification-bar. After a short break you can simply reset the timer and be back on track immediately.
Writing Progress
'Writing Progress' is split up in 2 tabs. With 'Writing Log' you can monitor how much and when you've written. 'Progress Stats' on the other hand shows you the statistics of your books. When you select the bell icon you can setup your personal 'Daily Writing Reminder'. An novel contains on average 80.000 words. So let's get started!
Timeline
Plan the events of your book in chronological order. But use the chapter function to order your events in the order they are presented to the reader. This will get you an overview in which order your main-events happened. This helps you also understanding what your characters already know and what they've been through.
Characters
We recommend you to create a profile for every character, even the smallest characters. It's of course unnecessary to fill in all the text fields for every character. A good habit while writing, is to note everything you come up with for a character in his/her profile. Hereby you can look this information up much quicker. It's basically your cheatsheet for all your characters.
Chapters
In the chapters module, you can chronologically order your chapters. In the description, you can describe what happens in this chapter. With this you will be able to see how your story goes in a glimp and see the chapter lengths in a nice overview.
Scenes
After you've tapped on a chapter, the application opens the scenes module. In here we recommend to plan your chapter really in depth. You can see this as an abstract way of your chapter. The scenes can also be re-ordered.
(Sub-) Locations
We recommend to start planning your environment from the biggest place in your world (e.g. a village). From here on you start to dig deeper: streets > houses > floor of a house > specific room. You can create a sub-location by tapping on a location.
Quarterly Writing Goals
If you don't set yourself some deadlines, there is a big chance you will never finish your books. It's a great idea to make a rough planning of want you want to achieve in the next few months. For example: start writing chapter 6 and 7, edit chapter 4 or write 20.000 words. Without goals, you don't have a point of focus. Set your goals and achieve them.

4 ★The app is fantastic but still needs to add a few more details. It doesn't indicate what type of formatting buttons im using. Like if I click on bold it still looks the same so I'm unsure if Im using it at times. It'll also be nice if I could move certain things on the timeline. I might want to add things to it and it'll be a hassle to just edit every single thing.
3 ★I love this app I do and I also love what you people wanted to do with it. Clearly its got everything a writer dreams of and is very reminiscent of wattpad. But it has a long, long way to go. It has a lot of bugs and I have problems with saving my stories. I always end up losing paragraphs on end. And it annoys me. I know that PC version is still beta but it's the worst synching ever. I learned that the hard way. Please fix it cause the app has got potential and its better than any other on here
2 ★I truly did appreciate Writer Tools, it was useful and the easiest five star rating I've ever given. I bought pro and it was well worth my money. My rating dropped to two stars when they began charging a ridiculous $55 per year. Those who paid the previous 5.99 for Pro were given no benefits, which irks me a bit. I still love this app and it's features, but I can't afford to support it anymore.
5 ★Brilliant app, can be used for jotting down ideas, lists, storylines, and even creating writing goals. My favourite part of this app is the character creation. I expected them to make you write down simple things, like the characters name, and importance in the overall story, but the amount of depth you can go into when creating your character helps you gain a deeper understanding, making it easier for you to work that character into the story (or work the story into the character).
3 ★I downloaded this for the timeline but it needs some work. It's way too broad and open. There's no way to narrow things down by chapter or date or anything like that. It's basically a list of events called a timeline with no organization options and is therefore useless. If I wanted to create a list of events, with no way of organizing them, I could do that in Notepad.
3 ★It's a nice app with plenty of resources! Would love if it had the possibility to have more than one project though. I'm working on a book trilogy and need to have the three of them accessible. It's a shame the pro version requires monthly payment, which I find a bit pricey. Would have bought if it was possible to get with a single purchase.
4 ★this is a seriously great app. I'm admittedly, not a very organized person and I've stopped writing a lot of stories, solely because I forget the timeline or what happened before and lose my drive. This app helps with that. It keeps me super motivated and I can also just jot down whatever comes to mind then come back to that later. Amazing job, ya'll.
4 ★Doesn't crash for me (Samsung galaxy S9) and does what its supposed to and even more. Many features are available even in the free version so it is not necessary to buy the pro version to get use out of the app. A little suggestion from my side would be to introduce the option of rearranging your characters, locations, and ideas so one would be able sort them by, for example, importance or relevance instead of just alphabetically / chronologically. Thank you for this great app you are providing
5 ★This is the best app for helping writers. I've tried many apps that failed my expectations, but this one is absolutely perfect. It fulfills the description and does even more. The details it makes you input really push you forward. All the flaws other people wrote about are caused by their ignorance. This is much better than writing notes on paper, because this app helps you fill in details. I recommend to add the function of filtering by tags and the ability to create multiple timelines.
2 ★I love the app, but i backed up my story and poof its-a-gone! It was a warrior cats book, and if ur a warriors fan u know that there are tons of characters to keep track of. After i lost my notes (luckily my writing was saved on wattpad) i rarely use this app :/
4 ★This app is absolutely amazing! I don't think the trilogy I'm about to write would be nearly as good or planned out if I hadn't found this app. It's just great! One complaint: I understand you need money, and I'm okay with there being a paid version, but could you possibly make it so non-payers can have more than one story at once? Also, I see a lot of people are having problems backing up. Advice for them: don't write the whole thing on the app! Problem solved! Anyway, I love it. Great app!
4 ★Brilliant and handy app. It's my go-to for my project. I do have a bit of a problem with the timeline feature, though. When I edit an event and go back, it takes me right to the top of my timeline, but I'd prefer if it would stay where you are when you enter the event. I have a pretty huge timeline, and its frustrating having to scroll the whole thing every time I create a new event.
