Herstory is a first geo-localised census of women’s groups, collectives, Centres and Associations from Rome and the Lazio region since 1970, which can be viewed by selecting one or more chronological intervals, or all at once. The interactive map proposes about 500 markers . By clicking on the marker you can access a short bio and reach the place.Herstory is conceived and created by Giovanna Olivieri and Valeria Santini and produced by Archivia and is funded by the programme Innovazione sostantivo femminile of Regione Lazio.
Archivia is a voluntary organisation founded in 2003 from the involvement of 10 local institutions from Rome (newspapers, archives and documentation centres) which own archival and library funds.
Archivia is housed at Casa Internazionale delle donne di Roma, Via della Lungara, 19.
