Sendero la Morita:El comienzo de nuestro sendero es al final de la C/La Torre, saliendo ya del casco urbano llegamos hasta la llamada colada de Benalup. Un sendero corto ( 1,5 km sólo ida) , de fácil acceso y dificultad baja. Idóneo para despejarse en cualquier momento del año, aunque, en épocas de temperaturas más altas, mejor elegir las primeras o últimas horas del día.
En su primer tramo, la vegetación es menos densa, tendrán la oportunidad de vislumbrar el rico entorno natural del lugar donde nos hallamos, ya que Benalup-Casas Viejas está situado a las puertas del Parque Natural de los Alcornocales. Podremos ver grandes extensiones de tierra cultivada, es allí donde hasta los años 60 se ubicaba el mayor humedal de España, La Laguna de la Janda. También al fondo Sierra Momia, donde se encuentra el Conjunto Arqueológico del Tajo de las Figuras.
Continuamos la ruta y el camino se estrecha, la arboleda se hace más espesa y la sombra predomina por el camino. Oímos los pájaros a nuestro alrededor y es muy fácil que nos sobrevuelen aves rapaces.
Llegamos al final, al lugar que da nombre a este sendero y nuestro municipio, La Torre de Ben-Alud, conocido popularmente como “La Morita”. Desde el camino no es posible divisarla, debido a la cantidad de matorrales y arboleda de la zona. Pero a escasos metros del camino se encuentra la torre, que ha sido testigo y protagonista de la historia de nuestra localidad, desde el S.XIII aproximadamente . Son muchos los usos que ha tenido a lo largo de su historia, desde torre vigía y alquería en la época musulmana, hasta escuela rural o casa de labranza.
