1 ★I am changing my review from a 1 star to 4. On initial setup I had no end of problems with the app and the my teddy out of the pram. Most of the issues appear to be operator error on my part. Excitement at getting my new gadget But I do have to say that there is little to no help in manuals to get things going. The app works pretty well now but could do with some tweeking. Holy Stone a series of videos would be an idea taking Users especially new ones through step by step.
1 ★As everyone else has mentioned, i am having the same issues. Dropping wifi, losing my avionics controls with the exception of vertical control. Now i have a patch across the top of some Chinese writting. Holy Stone has replaced 2 drones for me already due to malfunctions either in the motherboard or this app. I am a Veteran Drone Pilot as well as a Single Engine Private Pilot so I assure anyone that says "User Incompetence" that is not so.
4 ★Received HS720 drone as xmas present and on first outing this app crashed 4 times.This means you cannot fully utilise the capabilities of the drone,useless. After contacting customer support I was advised to try several things. Before connecting to the Holystone WiFi disconnect the home WiFi and stop the auto connect feature then put the phone in flight mode. I have tried the drone/app twice now after carrying out the above steps and both times the app did not crash at all, looks hopeful.
1 ★THIS APP IS DANGEROUS!!! Tried to slice my face off! I noticed this app was updated and I did all the calibrations and the pairing like the app asked to do when I first opened it. Checked all the settings and hit the auto take off, 4 feet up and straight back into my face! It was set to slow mode and it sure wasn't acting that way. Not sure why the screen is displaying multiple languages either. I have quite a few hours with this drone and never behaved this way. THIS APP IS DANGEROUS!!!
1 ★I got a Holy Stone drone for Christmas and oh boy was I excited. But that just let to more disappointment when I realised that I simply cannot connect it to my phone. The drone won't connect to the phone and the app constantly stops working, most of the time without me even touching it but just having it open for more than 3 seconds. The app really ruins the Christmas present for me!
1 ★I also received the HS720E as a gift. The app is set initially in Beginner mode with limits on how far it can fly. I have a Samsung S10+, and current Android version of the app; problem is that setti g adjustments are not kept in the app even after saving. Every time I try to fly, I have to take it off Beginner mode & reset the limits. I just downloaded the ios App on my iPad & version # is higher; it seems to hold settings after changing them. Problem is I need to use my phone to fly.
1 ★WARNING this updated app is DANGEROUS TO INSTALL. It seems to now limit your drone to a certain distance but also causes your drone to be NON RESPONSIVE at time. It will refuse joystick commands at random times. It just took me 10 minutes to land. THERE'S SOMETHING UP WITH THIS UPDATE. The new limits are troubling also. Update - it's seems to log GPS coordinates of your flight so we examined the traffic and it's chatting to a server china. I never gave it permission to send my logs, but guessin
1 ★As others mentioned drone became uncontrollable. Update: noted new settings after update. Click settings cog top right. Its defaulted to beginner; limits distance etc to within few metres of you and makes it slow. Just tried settings outside, seems to have fixed issue. Can't download full quality video from SD card. SD card icon just presents magnifying glass. Have to manually insert SD into computer. Fonts tiny, hard to read. Also has Chinese text across screen at top.
4 ★Hs510 with Galaxy A10. Clear sunny day with 5mph winds. Connected to holystone WiFi just fine. Camera view and controls was great. However my left/right function on sticks didn't work. Just had fwd/rev and up/dwn. The range appeared to be severally impacted as well. I adjusted the controller antenna and it appeared to improve but still not as good with the app closed. Charging batteries to try other troubleshooting
2 ★App works for the most part, however i cannot download/share pictures taken. Have discovered that an apple phone can share a picture taken when the drone is on, but can't share pictures taken previously on android phone. Drone also doesn't seem to exceed 50 ft, does anyone else have this issue?
1 ★I have the holy stone 720e. Never had any issues for 2 1/2 months of me having it. Until this new update. It decreased my speed, it was hard to calabrat, at lift off it caused the drone to fly itself and crashed it into the house after 20 seconds into flight. It literally flew uncontrollable.
1 ★Looks like a capable application on the surface. However, this app will not connect to my Holy Stone 720E. Which kind of makes it worthless to me as a camera drone since I cannot see what the drone sees. I have a Pixel 4a android phone. I hope they can fix this soon.
