يوم الأربعين وهو يوم ورود حرم الحسين (عليه السلام) المدينة عائداً من الشام وهو يوم ورود جابر بن عبد الله الأنصاري كربلاء لزيارة الحسين وهو أول من زاره (عليه السلام) ويستحب فيه زيارته (عليه السلام) وعن الإمام العسكري (عليه السلام) قال: «علامات المؤمن خمس: صلاة احدى وخمسين ـ الفرائض والنوافل اليومية ـ و زيارة الأربعين، والتختم في اليمين، وتعفير الجبين، والجهر ببسم الله الرحمن الرحيم».نَصُّ الزِّيارَة :
رَوَى الشيخ الطوسي ( قدَّس الله نفسه الزَّكية ) عن جماعة ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ الْجَمَّالِ ، أنه قَالَ : قَالَ لِي مَوْلَايَ الصَّادِقُ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فِي زِيَارَةِ الْأَرْبَعِينَ : " تَزُورُ عِنْدَ ارْتِفَاعِ النَّهَارِ وَ تَقُولُ :
السَّلَامُ عَلَى وَلِيِّ اللَّهِ وَ حَبِيبِهِ ، السَّلَامُ عَلَى خَلِيلِ اللَّهِ وَ نَجِيبِهِ ، السَّلَامُ عَلَى صَفِيِّ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنِ صَفِيِّهِ ، السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ الْمَظْلُومِ الشَّهِيدِ ، السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَسِيرِ الْكُرُبَاتِ وَ قَتِيلِ الْعَبَرَاتِ .
