A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★The actual device I got is fine, it works great, however this app is awful. It's signs me out at least once a week and when this happens, you can't just sign back in, it just doesn't work. You have to clear the app data, try to sign in and hope it doesn't give you an error, then IF you get signed in, you have to remove your synced device and add it in manually again to be able to control the device in the app again. The app is effectively useless.
1 ★Here's the deal. This got the Protect 7710i about a year ago. From day one it was really suspicious when I turn it on the air quality is 'green' within seconds and when I turn it off goes to 'red'. Took it outside to test it. Turn in on outside and same results on the app showed 😂 clean air within seconds. Total scam. Ok forgot about it until now. Just changed the WiFi SSID and tried to reconnect the product to the app. It's impossible without removing the device from the app.
1 ★I only got information back from the unit to the app for the first two hours after plugging it in and setting up the connection. Now I can control the unit from the app but the readings are old and the graph is blank. I don't know what happened, I did not change anything. Unplugging the unit and trying again or restarting the app does did not help.
4 ★Update: I called and got a replacement unit, though the warranty, which connected easily and quickly. Still only 4 stars because why did no one reply to me e-mail? I'm only writing this review because it seems to be the only way to get Blueair's attention. I submitted a help desk ticket 10 days ago, no response (yes, I've checked the spam folder). The app refuses to finalize a connection to my air purifier, and I've tried all the troubleshooting steps from the documentation.
1 ★A truly AWFUL application, the worst and with each update it gets worse. Now to access all four of our devices it takes an average of 7+ minutes for the app to see them, then it still often doesn't work. Now, with latest update, you have to manually log in each time. Who writes this awful quality stuff? Still no Google Home integration. Start over. And look for other brands with better apps!
3 ★The app works ok for me but could be improved. Once I exposed my SSID it connected. If your router has SSID broadcast disabled it won't connect since the app will not allow you to manually enter the SSID. I had to temporarily enable SSID broadcast, connect the device and then disable SSID broadcast. I spoke with a tech support rep who clearly had no idea what I was talking about. She opened a case for my issue and promised that they would contact me, so far no response. Poor tech support.
1 ★(Update: Per the reply to this review, I contacted the company. There is no response. Still 1 star.) The old blueair app used to work. The air purifiers were always connected and controllable from the app. But then I was forced to install this new app and the air purifiers will not stay connected. They show up as offline 90% of the time. They work 10% of the time so its not a config/login issue. And my wifi is fine that's not the problem either. Please bring back the old app or fix the new app.
4 ★The app installed & connected to WiFi without issue, which I see some folks have had problems with. The app controls the new Protect unit as expected except for the same problem mentioned in Chris Schwark's review. Schedules are easy to create and can be run manually but the schedule does not appear to run on the schedule. I've tried a couple different tests with battery optimization settings and the app but have had no success so far.
1 ★I've seen cheap knock off LED lights with better wifi implementation. Be prepared to try, fail, try again, fail again repeat ad nauseam. If by some miracle you are finally able to get it to sync, pray that you never lose power to your router/switch. The second you do, be prepared to repeat that process again. I personally don't have the stomach for it.
2 ★App Barely works. Constantly loses connection with the one purifier I have. Says it's offline but when I go to add it, it says it's connected. Can't find a way to remove purifier. Support nstructions have a note that says "(add link for how to remove)." Great. Just uninstalled to try logging in again as it wouldn't let me sign in. "Please contact support" in response to login attempts is useless. Reset password? Can't find email. Ok register new. There's an account already registered. Garbage
1 ★Set up the app, connected it to my WIFI. Turned on the purifier, and set it up with my preferences. Then, an hour or so later, I wanted to turn it up, and the app shows the purifier is offline. And the unit is maybe 7ft away from my router. I haven't been able to reconnect it, and the app is the only way to control it. "Nice"...what u get for $829. Guess I have to call their customer service tomorrow. But in the mean time, I can't raise or lower the power, only shut it off. 😡
1 ★This connected my purifier to my wifi and phone for about 9 months, and then the purifier no longer connected to the wifi any more. I have uninstalled, checked that I'm not connecting through VPN, unplugged the purifier, etc. Now the app says the purifier is connected again, and shows it is running, but it is not. Glitchy app, and now I can no longer control my purifier when I'm away from home.
