Die Gemeinden Stattegg und Weinitzen sind in den letzten Jahren stark gewachsen, womit auch ein zunehmend hohes Verkehrsaufkommen in Richtung Graz und retour verbunden ist. Bis auf einen als Gelegenheitsverkehr geführten Schulbus, der die Kinder einmal täglich in der Früh zum Andritzer Hauptplatz bringt und dabei den Rückweg nicht abdeckt, gibt es KEINE MOBILITÄTSANGEBOTE für Kalkleiten, Buch, Hohenberg (Stattegg), Zösenberg, Mühl (Weinitzen), Ursprungweg, Schöckelstraße (Graz Andritz)
Die Buslinie 47, die hier morgens und mittags verkehrte, wurde nach rund 20 Jahren im November 2015 aufgrund mangelnder Inanspruchnahme ersatzlos eingestellt.
In den genannten Gebieten sind insgesamt rund 2.000 Menschen NICHT an den öffentlichen Verkehr angebunden und folglich auf den privaten PKW angewiesen.
Diese Petition appelliert an die Gemeinden Stattegg und Weinitzen sowie an die Stadt Graz, im Sinne der Lebensqualität der betroffenen AnrainerInnen sowie der allgemeinen Verkehrsentlastung des Grazer Nordens und allgemein der Stadt Graz eine attraktive, an den Bedürfnissen der BewohnerInnen, PendlerInnen und SchülerInnen orientierte, öffentliche Anbindung an den Andritzer Hauptplatz anzubieten, die durch eine an arbeits- und schulalltag angepasste Taktung eine echte Alternative zum privaten PKW darstellt
