Die RIS:App ermöglicht den mobilen Zugriff auf das österreichische Rechtsinformationssystem des Bundes (RIS) sowie auf Richtlinien, Verordnungen und EuGH Entscheidungen aus EUR-Lex.Gesetze und Entscheidungen können nach einer (optionalen und kostenlosen) Registrierung als Lesezeichen in einem persönlichen Ordner abgespeichert werden, damit sie später schnell und einfach wieder gefunden werden. Mit einer Registrierung können auch persönliche Filtereinstellungen und Suchen abgespeichert werden.

Die RIS:App ist ein unabhängiges Open Data Projekt. Als Basis werden Open Data Schnittstellen des österreichischen Bundeskanzleramtes (BKA) und von EUR-Lex verwendet. Die Nutzung des RIS Logos erfolgt mit freundlicher Genehmigung des österreichischen Bundeskanzleramtes. Die App selbst wurde jedoch weder vom Bundeskanzleramt beauftragt, noch wird diese vom Bundeskanzleramt betrieben.
