-Cast 38 stitches on your knitting needle.

-Repeat the same two stitches in the second row, but this time begin and end with two purl stitches.
-Alternate these two steps until the scarf has reached the desired length.
-Cast off and weave in the end of the scarf.
How to Make a Fabric Scarf
-Choose a jersey fabric such as sheer cotton jersey or rayon jersey.
-Cut the 2 1/2 yards of fabric so that it's between 15 inches and 20 inches wide.
-Leave the edges unsewn to create a raw edge. Many fabrics may curl at the edge naturally.
How to Crochet a Scarf
-Chain 22, then in the first row double crochet the fourth chain and continue to the end of the chain.
-Chain three for the second row, turn, double crochet into the second double stitch and then in every stitch from the previous row.
-Repeat steps for row two until the scarf reaches your desired length.
-Finish the scarf and weave the yarn into the last row.
