Diese Audioguide-App wurde im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Otto der Große und das Römische Reich. Kaisertum von der Antike zum Mittelalter“ entwickelt, die vom 27.8. bis 9.12.2012 im Kulturhistorischen Museum Magdeburg gezeigt wird.
Die App ist als Ausstellungsrundgang konzipiert und für die Benutzung im Museum gedacht. Sie können die Kommentare über eine Liste anwählen oder die Nummern an den Ausstellungsobjekten über eine Tastatur eingeben. Darüber hinaus steht Ihnen ein zoombarer Übersichtsplan des Museums zur Verfügung.
Die Audioführung führt durch alle fünf Abteilungen der Ausstellung und vermittelt einen Überblick über die Inszenierung kaiserlicher Herrschaft von der römischen Antike bis zu Otto dem Großen. In 35 Beiträgen werden ausgewählte Werke präsentiert, darunter absolute Highlights wie etwa die Insignien des Kaisers Maxentius, ein geheimnisvolles Schwert, das Otto der Große vielleicht in der Schlacht auf dem Lechfeld führte und die Heiratsurkunde der Kaiserin Theophanu. Der komplette Rundgang dauert ungefähr 90 Minuten.
