Description

Monospace is a minimal notes and writing app, built from the ground up with a designed-for-touch UI.

It get's rid of the standard editing features you'd find in standard writing and notes apps and replaces them with a modern-styled, essentials-only formatting popup.

Monospace Writer supports Bold, Italics, Strikethrough, Bullet, Quote and a bunch of size related formatting styles.

Monospace has built in internal sync (Pro package only) that lets you keep all your devices on the latest version's of your notes, and let's you edit anywhere.

Monospace Writer's hashtags feature replace the classic folder system. Simply add hashtags (which can be nested) to the last line of a file and Monospace will take care of the file/folder organisation for you.

Monospace Writer allows for exporting via Markdown, meaning it has copy and paste support for a huge amount of services, including Wordpress and Tumblr.

2 ★I backed up my monospace to dropbox before performing a software reset on my phone. After reinstalling the app, it doesn't remember that I had the pro version and I can't restore my data. I used to like this but this is the second time I've lost all my notes with no way to get them back

2 ★Google drive sync Pro functionality doesn't work. Furthermore, reading around online seems to indicate that the developer has abandoned this app. Don't shell out money for the pro version. Night mode works well, which is what initially drew me to this app. Disappointed that I spent three bucks on software that doesn't deliver explicitly what it promises behind the paywall.

1 ★this app seemed pretty solid until it suddenly crashed and the document i've been working on all night just got deleted after the app crashed. when I went to check the file, all I found inside was the word 'content.. I SERIOUSLY REGRET COMING ACROSS THIS APP. I thought it was geeat because it was simple and had dark mode on, but unless you want to buy it and have the option of saving the file on your drive then DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS.

1 ★Used the free version. Got my data deleted and the tutorial came back. Paid for it. Got my data deleted again and the tutorial came back. Google docs doesn't sync. Nothing works. It's buggy, it's unsafe and it's faulty. It's nothing but free money for the developer. Never using it again.

1 ★ABANDONED - DO NOT PAY - DATA LOSS Apparently the dev has not looked at this app in 3 years. Meanwhile, countless people have had their notes deleted by this buggy app. It's a simple text editor, don't pay for what's possibly the simplest app in the world, yet one that loses users' data.

1 ★Unreliable. Runs into formatting and undo bugs that cause all file content to be lost, irreversibly. Happened to me twice, so I uninstalled it and will not use it again unless the issue is fixed. It's a pity, because it's overall a lean app.

1 ★DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. I just lost a lot of information because the real content of my note got spontaneously replaced with "Content". I had already reported a similar bug where this happens when pressing the undo button but the developer obviously does not care. You have been warned.

5 ★I really love this app, it's just so clean and minimal. ive used the app for years on my Samsung S7 Edge, and recently upgraded to the S10. i noticed that because of the S10's weird status bar, the top of the app gets cut off. I'll send a screenshot in email.

2 ★Would like to see right-to-left support which I am sorely missing as some of my notes are in Hebrew. Also the hashtag sorting of notes is confusing to me. Too much hassle so I'm not using it . Why not use good old familiar folder sorting?

1 ★Just went to copy and paste what I'd written and it was all replaced by the word "content" and I can't get what I wrote back. Thankfully it wasn't a lot to lose but this shouldn't happen. My work also isn't backed up despite being linked to my Google Drive.

1 ★This is app is quite visually appealing, but has an absolutely ATROCIOUS bug. Using the 'undo' button or deleting a line before the title of your document will randomly PERMANENTLY delete ALL of your text. Absolutely horrible.

3 ★I bought it because I liked the minimal aesthetic and the sync option. I've the pro version now but for some reason it doesn't sync. And that's quite a deal breaker.
