Visit Toyama is a free application that provides travelers in Toyama with offline maps and travel guides.You can put your travel guide in your smartphone and take it with you conveniently.
■ Main Features
(1) Travel guide
You can download information about the points of interest and recommended sightseeing spots in Toyama.
You download the information in advance, so you don’t need an Internet connection while you travel around Toyama.
It also includes photographs, descriptions, and business hours, etc., so you can use it as a reference during your trip.
(2) Offline maps
You can download sightseeing maps for Toyama along with the travel guide.
You can utilize your handset’s GPS function to display your current position on the offline map, enabling you to use it with peace of mind even in places you visit for the first time.

(3) Direction indicator function
A direction indicator shows the direction from your current location to your destination.
The application shows you the general direction of your destination, so you can move toward your destination while looking at the map.

(1) Launch Visit Toyama, download the travel guide in “Travel guide registration.”
Because the data size is large, we recommend downloading via a Wi-Fi connection.
(2) Select the travel guide you want to use from “Registered Travel Guide.”
(3) Individual menus are as follows.
“Spot search”: Search for listings by category or name.
“Favorites”: Display a list of items marked as “Favorites.”
“View map”: Display offline maps and check your current position.
“Travel information”: View useful local information, such as descriptions of the area’s characteristics, currency, and simple conversation.
(4) From “View map,” you can use your handset's GPS function to display your current location and use the direction indicator function to show the direction to your destination, or conduct a spot search on the surrounding area.
