Description
El Proyecto de Intervención Comunitaria Intercultural (ICI) en Taco apuesta por la convivencia y la cohesión social a partir de la consolidación del proceso comunitario, protagonizado conjuntamente por la Administración, los recursos técnico-profesionales, las organizaciones sociales y la ciudadanía en general. Este proyecto, desarrollado con éxito y eficacia en 16 territorios de toda la geografía española durante los últimos cuatro años, se ha extendido a otras 24 localidades, entre ellas, Taco. Una apuesta innovadora, de intervención comunitaria y gestión de la diversidad social y cultural, validada por sus buenos resultados y sus impactos en la mejora de la convivencia. Esta iniciativa se centra en el protagonismo de la comunidad de un territorio para dar respuesta a los retos diversos que debe afrontar en cada momento.Comprendido entre los municipios de San Cristóbal de La Laguna y Santa Cruz de Tenerife, el territorio de Taco, que congrega a dieciséis barrios con identidad propia, se caracteriza por su diversidad desde el punto de vista social y cultural. El Proyecto ICI-Taco está gestionado por la Fundación General de la Universidad de La Laguna y se desarrolla a partir de un convenio de colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife y el Ayuntamiento de San Cristóbal de La Laguna y está financiado por la Obra Social “la Caixa”.
