Description
The App is a guide for the UTmessan ICT Conference and Exhibition in Iceland. It has a map of the venue, schedule, information about exhibitors and challenges to solve on location.The App presents the schedule of events at the conference and information about most of the booths and presentation halls. Using Bluetooth beacon technology, content will appear on the screen related to where the user is located and challenges presented.
Guests can solve challenges and earn points when they are present at the exhibition halls in proximity to an iBeacon. Winners are announced each day and rewarded with prizes. Apple is not affiliated with this App or a sponsor of any competition presented in the App.
The App is owned by Skyrsluteaknifelag Islands (The Icelandic Computer Society) and made using the Locatify Creator CMS.

UTmessu appið er í eigu Skýrslutæknifélags Íslands og er hannað til að leiðbeina gestum UTmessunnar um annars vegar ráðstefnuhluta Upplýsingatæknimessunnar og hins vegar til að upplýsa gesti um hvað er að gerast á hverjum stað á sýningarsvæðinu. Þátttakendum á UTmessunni er boðið að taka þátt í ratleik í snjallsíma þar sem þeir fá stig fyrir að leysa þrautir. Appið notar "bluetooth" tækni farsíma til að ákvarða staðsetningu þess sem heldur á viðkomandi síma. Ráðstefnugestir sjá þegar þeir ganga inn í ráðstefnusal hvaða fyrirlestrar eru þar í boði . Einnig sést í appinu hvaða getraunir og leikir eru í gangi á hverjum stað ásamt upplýsingum um sýningarbása fyrirtækja á sýningarsvæðinu.
Upplýsingatæknimessan og UTmessan eru skráð vörumerki hjá Einkaleyfastofu og eru í eigu Skýrslutæknifélags Íslands. Öll notkun og vísun í vörumerkin er óheimil án sérstaks leyfis eiganda. Í því felst m.a. réttur sem settur er í vörumerkjalögum (sjá lög m vörumerki nr. 45/1997 með síðari breytingum) gefur eiganda vörumerkis einkarétt á að nota merkið hér á landi og getur hann þá bannað öðrum að nota í atvinnustarfsemi merki sem eru eins eða lík vörumerki hans.
