Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★great app.
3 ★mediocre
1 ★I'm a resident of Charlotte and a subscriber to the newspaper. I added this app so I can keep up with news when I'm away from home. The headline is over a month old and not updated. Still refers to Hurricane Florence which was over SIX WEEKS AGO. Come on! This is ridiculous.
1 ★Absolutely worst app for local news!!!!
3 ★UPDATE to my original review: Gives you categorized news in usual phone/format or lets you read printed version of the paper with zoom in/outfeature; this also bookmarks where you last read. Table of contents good.BUT videos don't work on my phone, the stories are not in Chronilogicalorder, and there's no option for re-sorting--so old news and new news aremashed together. Ugh.
4 ★Like the way that I can navigate through the app to read what I'm interested in reading right away.
4 ★Solid app - I appreciate the ability to keep track of what's going on back home.
5 ★Timely and easy to use.
5 ★App works great.
5 ★Great app
1 ★Horrific. I subscribe already but the ads are incredibly intrusive. It's worse than the 5lb Sunday paper with 1lb of news and choked with ads I could care less about. I'd gladly pay more to just .....read the news
3 ★The Charlotte Observer app is so irritating. I'm continually having some problem or another with it. I like to read the Digital eEdition and now the editions that are not current are turning black so I can't finish reading.
