Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★This guide is amazing. Still no substitute for having a paper map backup, but I admit that I never once looked at my paper map during the climb.Actually a little sad that it's free since I'd love to chip in for it a laGuthook's JMT guide or AWOL's AT guide. Only suggestion: would be good tomark where the Chute route starts and ends.
5 ★AMAZING app. This kept track of exactly where we were on the trail from start to finish even with no cell signal. The elevation tool was also accurate and helpful. It even accurately shows you where the water sources are. A must have if hiking Mount Whitney.
5 ★Hiked up Whitney several times. This app is complete, all you need for thehiking route.
4 ★Summited 8/16/17 help us stay on trail. Kinda wish it had an arrow or something that showed which direction when I was off trail. But other than that this was a life saver
5 ★Fantastic app to keep track of your progress, elevation, and proximity to water, all done with gps, without needing a cell signal
5 ★Great app good manual. Thank you
5 ★Excellent, well done and easy to use
5 ★Accurate, helped out between mirror lake and outpost, all rock. Thanks, successful summit!
4 ★Make sure your phone does not need a network connection for your GPS to work. This worked well for me and was nice to have. Put your phone on airplane mode before your hike. Also use MyTracks.
5 ★This was really useful on my recent trip. It crashes occasionally on my evo 3d, which is a minor annoyance. A scale bar on the main map would be a helpful addition. I'm glad I bought this, thanks.
2 ★I thought it said you could send a text through the app even without cell service, so you could notify people where you are, we'll that was not the case. I was lucky enough to get a signal at the top of Mt Whitney, then all the app texts went through, but I could also use my phone so there was really no point in the app.
