Description

MTB Project is your comprehensive guide to the trails you want to ride, wherever you are.

With the thoroughness of a printed map, we offer full GPS route info, elevation profiles, interactive features, photos, and more. Like a guidebook, we suggest the best featured rides to explore—either near your current location or in an area you search for. Local experts show you the highlights, challenging features, and insights you need to plan a great ride.

• Find more than 77,000 miles of trail to shred with your crew.
• New rides and trails are constantly added to our incredibly detailed mountain bike trail and ride database.
• Your exact location is shown on the trail.
• Downloaded trails work offline for when you’re off the grid. (No cell reception required!)
• Enjoy high-resolution photos and detailed topographical trail maps.
• We’ll sync with your to-do list, check ins, and favorites on MTBProject.com.

By using GPS, we can show your location on trails and vertical profiles. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★MTB Project is a quite reliable means of learning the general lay of the land prior to venturing out onto a trail. The app seems to have most of the major trails in the areas I ride well laid out. And it's helpful in providing ideas for new trails to explore, by browsing the map.
3 ★App has great potential, but in its current state, only use it for education/pre-ride research and not your only map on the trail. Despite having a good internet connection, the images never appear and a statement reads "no internet connection." Annoying but the app still works otherwise.
5 ★The app does a great job of providing a wealth of ride planning information. I love how it provides an all of the trails in the area of concern so the user can visually search for my map and scroll the viewpoint. It makes it easy to get a general overview before selecting anything in particular.
5 ★Have used this for years. Remember to find the parking lot on the app map and select driving directions. Saves so much time. Always surprised how many times we come across riders that are needing directions and are not using this app. This app is also a safety net. If you have a wreck or a mechanical, you can screen shot your exact location. Mtb project is GOLD.
5 ★A better, free version of trailforks, I recommend it to everyone I ride with
3 ★Can't get rid of the "Download Areas" button on map after downloading the areas I want. Can't use the app so far. Closed the app and came back later. Button gone, so now checking it out. Not all the mountain bike trails that I know of are on the map, but more are being added.
2 ★Can seem to get to any trails! it not easy to navigate this app!...It seems to stay stuck on a trial i find. Cant go back to find trails around my area just show city's around were I live!...I like the details and updates of the trails I find when I find one. But other than that it's hard to navigate it seems complicated!
5 ★I don't see a down side to this app thusfar. Would recommend it having been off put by other similar apps by comparison I have been having a great time riding places I never knew existed. It all seems to function fairly well for me thusfar so I have just begun to use more features like check ins and the other data logging features in hopes that it remains useful for a long time as I am all over the place riding 😀 👍
4 ★12/10/20 Update: App is now functioning again as normal, looks like the possibly rolled back an update. MTB Project is a pretty great app. It is very useful when riding in areas that you're unfamiliar with. The trail difficulty rating are often over rated (calling what should be a blue trail a black), but over rating is probably better than under rating. App keeps crashing on Google Pixel 5 as soon as it's opened. New problem, worked fine about a few days ago.
5 ★Super helpful in planning and route finding. 'Featured ride' is awesome when travelling (when you know generally where you will be and want to find the best ride in the area). The ability to download a whole state at a time also makes it easier to be offline and not get totally lost.
5 ★Great app for those who love to discover new places in nature! It would be even better if it had a filter to classify trails by how long they are in miles and difficulty instead of going through the long list. But at least it has a favorite button, that'll do for now!
3 ★It's ok, lacks a few key features. No fullscreen mode for map viewing, can't upload pictures on the app, only the website. Topo map is useless, no other way to put it. So clunky trying to figure out what your current elevation is, no landscape mode for elevation profile.
