5 ★Bought this because I moved into a house and wasn't familiar with the construction of the place. All my previous houses I had built and knew where everything was behind the walls. The Walabot allowed me to see there everything was. I could find the studs and place nails and screws directly into the studs without worry about hitting electrical wires, water or gas lines. It took the mystery out of my projects. Such a great product and at first I was skeptical but soon became amazed.
5 ★This app and "stud finder" are amazing! It's helped find wires, studs and pipes in the walls of my apartment! I used the usual stud finder - that would never give me accurate/consistent results - to hang a huge bike hook in my apartment garage. After 2 years and ready to move out, I pulled the hook out only to find that I had put a hole in a PVC drain pipe behind the wall! That was a $$$ mistake! Bought the Walabot and it's been so helpful to hang my paintings, bike hooks and TVs! Highly recommend!!
5 ★As a homeowner, and a do-it-yourselfer, I have used various methods to find studs for mounting shelves, gym equipment and TV's. I drilled hundreds of tiny holes and scraped my knuckle on many rough walls. When stud finders came onto the market, I tried various ones and still have a couple of old models. I heard about the new stud finders that show pictures inside the wall and was intrigued but, I expected them to be expensive. Now, as a retired renter, I do not want to make unnecessary holes in the walls and the price of Walabot made it interesting. I tested it against my old stud finder and the Walabot is much more accurate. It distinguishes wires and metal from wood studs and allowed me to avoid unexpected wires on my last couple of projects. I am very pleased with this product.
5 ★I will admit to being a tool junky. So when I saw the Walabot I just had to try it. It can tell the difference between wood and metal. A big plus. Simple to use and being able to "see" what is behind the wall is a whole lot better than the flashing LED's on my traditional stud finders. Bottom line is it really works well!
5 ★I have been using the normal stud finders for years and chanced upon the Walabot device during a search to find something that could provide me more. My use so far has been in the early stages but I like the way it detects wood or metal studs easily. I have also used it to trace wiring or piping behind the drywall. No us yet planned for concrete but am sure it does what it says. I like the way it easily attaches to cell phone. Only issue I have is the detection of surface process whereby you move Walabot in small circles at first/ However once surface type is detected it is a great tool to have and I recommend it.
5 ★It really works. I am an IT consultant and one my jobs is IT infrastructure. We run CAT 6 ethernet cables in walls. This device saved me from drilling wrong holes in drywall. Helped me find my fiber sticks inside the wall and most importantly help me find those darn fire blocks. Also help measure the distance between studs. This device also help me mount my TV. This is a great device. I have a samsung note 10 and it works great with this Android smart phone. Great tool to have.
5 ★I am not a handy with tools around the house type of guy. That said, when we moved into our new to us home a year ago, I necessarily tackled a lot of wall hanging, safety bars, and miscellaneous installation tasks. I purchased a Walabot DIY that i could connect to my android smart phone, Within a few minutes i gained the confidence to install some hefty stuff. The Walabot, as advertised, help me locate behind the wall studs, to avoid water pipes & electrical wiring. Works like a champ. I introduced it to a professional handyman helping me with bigger jobs, and he added on to this tool bag.
4 ★I enjoy tech and DIY projects, this device has been great in helping to locate air ducts in wall cavity, tracing electric wires, and also getting a bit more clarity on what's a stud and what is a near by pipe. A traditional stud finder can work for these tasks, but having a tool that can give a second opinion on what's going on in the wall in a visual manner is great. The app seems to fit my need, my biggest complaint was the USB-C; but no issues after cleaning phone port
5 ★I was very impressed with my walabot. I used closed cell spray foam to insulate my walls. I tried it out on a wall and it showed a pipe in the wall. my first thaugtht was this is wrong, there is no pipes in this wall. when i compared the pictures before I sheetrocked there it was. a one inch thick bundle of wires for my speaker system. Incredible, it worked and the spray foam did not impeed it. Every house should have a Walabot Walter
5 ★Excellent. The Walabot worked as described. I followed the clear & easy instructions that came with the device. I used it on multiple occasions helping a friend determine what was in walls he needed to mount stuff onto. The device correctly detected metal studs, a water line & power cables that were in vertical & diagonal directions. It even helped detect wiring hazards of a previous persons improperly connecting Aluminum wires to copper wires behind 30 yr old Jipsum drywall.
5 ★Living in small apartments means making use of wall space for storage. And renting means I don't want to lose my security deposit by putting too much trust the knock-to-find-a-wall-stud method, and missing too many times-- or worse, drilling into wires or plumbing. Walabot takes care of that, which gives me peace of mind and power over how I lay out my home. I bought an entire separate phone for Walabot (I'm an iPhone user). I break it out any time I need to put a hole in the wall, and it hasn't failed me yet. I would've bought the Walabot and the extra phone sooner if I'd known how much floor space it would clear up. Thanks for making a stud-finder that does more than just beep. I hope to keep using it for as long as I can.
5 ★Best tool in my tool bag. If I have to do any job that requires me to hang anything, I always use my Walabot to make sure I hit a stud or I'm not gonna hit a pipe/electrical line. It also cut my work time in half when wall mounting TVs. I recommend this device to everyone.
