Das Weinquiz der Edition Egon Mark erscheint bereits in der 4. Auflage. Nach Buch und CD ist diese Applikation eine zeitgemäße Form für „Wein erlernen mit Spaß“.Diese App enthält mehr als 200 Fragen zum Weinland FRANKREICH. Jede Frage bietet 4 Antwortmöglichkeiten und eine ausführliche Erklärung bzw. Begründung zu den richtigen Antworten.
Nach Auswahl der Anzahl der Fragen werden diese nach dem Zufallsprinzip aus dem Fragenpool mit den vier Antwortmöglichkeiten angezeigt. Auch diese Antworten werden zufällig angeordnet. Nach Beantwortung jeder Frage wird dem Nutzer angezeigt, ob diese richtig oder falsch beantwortet wurde. Ein Erklärungstext mit der Information zur richtigen Antwort steht für jede Frage zur Verfügung. Nach Durchlaufen der gewünschten Anzahl von Fragen wird dem Nutzer eine Auswertung angezeigt und da besteht dann zusätzlich die Möglichkeit, sich eine detaillierte Auswertung per E-Mail zusenden zu lassen (Internetverbindung erforderlich).
Der Autor Egon Mark ist Diplom-Sommelier und Weinakademiker mit WSET-Diplom. Er war Trainer und Prüfer bei der Sommelierausbildung in Österreich. Einige sehr erfolgreiche Teilnahmen an Sommelier-Wettbewerben, brachten ihm unter anderem den Titel »FALSTAFF-Sommelier des Jahres 1992/93« und als Österreich-Sieger beim SOPEXA-Wettbewerb 1994, die Auszeichnung »Österreichs bester Sommelier für französische Weine und Spirituosen«.
