Description

miniVAN is a mobile canvassing application that integrates with websites provided by NGP VAN. The miniVAN system allows users to export canvassing lists from VAN onto an iOS or Android device. Canvassers can then enter data into their device as they talk to people on their list. When the canvassers connect their device to the Internet over a wireless or cellular network, they can upload their data back to the VAN with the touch of a button. Administrative users on the VAN can then review the data and apply it to the database in one quick step.

Canvassing with miniVAN allows NGP VAN clients to spend more time and resources on actually contacting people instead of on data entry. What’s more, it virtually eliminates the lag time between collecting canvass results and putting that data to work.

1 ★How is Minivan getting worse with Android crashes, not better? 2020...kind of important for this tech to work...it is trash on my Cricket LG. Lately I'm forced to just knock every door and not keep data because the crashing has gotten unbearable. It's cost me over 200 doors this week.

3 ★Hi I have a bug. On two same phones. Motorola motor g6 forge. Bugs.. every sync option doesn't work. And team sync is not working. Really messed up our efficiency. Thank you.

1 ★Unreliable as hell. Keeps crashing constantly and the map is not accurate. Also it wiped out my data and drains my battery like nobody's business.

1 ★For the love of God you have to make it so the map view can filter out already canvassed households. Also this app is trash. Drains phone battery like no other.

1 ★3/4 finished with a 94-door list. Had to repeatedly restart my phone because Minivan crashed and stopped. Then it logged me out and erased ALL the work I'd synced. Everything gone. This wiped out 4 hours of canvassing.

1 ★The developers are incompetent, it doesn't have basic features you'd expect it to have, the updating is unpredictable for how it displays on other people's phone, it's hard to use.

1 ★It says it will retain downloaded lists for 30 days. It doesn't. It discards them. I always carry paper lists, just in case. What's the point of the app if it is unreliable?

5 ★Trying it out cause I do volunteering and campaigning for multiple campaigns for my canvising. I heard it was good.

4 ★The make list feature desperately needs improvement. Nobody wants a list that has 50 houses over a 20 square mile area! Everything else is great!
