Description

Touch 16i is an RPN calculator for programmers and computing scientists. This app implements many features of the beloved HP-16C plus some extras.

The interface is the cleanest possible: just the calculator filling the whole screen. The app supports three numeric formats: American (999,999.00), European (999.999,00) and Indian (9,99,999.00), and supports copy of the value to the clipboard. Touch the left upper corner of the calculator to open the menu and get access to these features.

The main interface has a couple poetic licenses. At the left of LCD, the current word size, the negative number representation, and current window are displayed. At the right, the full number is shown when it does not fit in the display. This extra information is handy when calculating with big integer numbers.

Other features: portrait layout, quick guide, saving memory images, 100% fullscreen, keyboard feedback, and more.

5 ★Glad to see a good implementation of this. For a CS engineer like myself, it is very useful. My only complaint is that the scrolling keys do not move digit-by-digit, but word-by-word. This should probably be addressed. See pages 33-34 of HP-16C Owners Handbook for what I'm referencing. Thanks. Edit 02/05/2017: Thanks for the correction! Good work!

5 ★The look and feel of this app is really great. It's hard to describe exactly but it feels very realistic. There are Lots of options to tweak things like speed and key clicks. Definitely worth the price.

5 ★Just like my HP16C

5 ★Like Pfutzenreuter's other voyager emulations, this is a very nice implementation of the legendary HP 16c calculator which lets you do calculations in binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal, and is programmable as well. The emulation works great on tablets, but also on phones with bigger displays like the Nexus 4. One thing worth noting is that the real 16c had more memory (up to 406 registers at WSIZE <=4), but the 100 registers of the emulation are more than enough for most purposes, and you always have these available no matter how much program memory you use and what the current WSIZE is.
