Description
Sample Arduino program: https://drive.google.com/open?id=11wSz_HzqNIF9UPKkSmK2M2thLNx_NFXXIntroduction: This application is one of the best solution to monitor the thermal level and to control the associated cooling device over blue-tooth.
Detailed description: This application is for people or hobbyists those want to monitor the level of temperature and control the cooling device from their Android phones either in automatic or manual way.
*This application receives the thermal level values over the blue-tooth link. It needs an active connection with the blue-tooth module such as HC-05, HC-06 or any other that is supposed to send the thermal level information gathered by a micro-controller such as Arduino from some temperature (thermal level) sensor such as LM35 or DHT11.
**Thermal level information sent by micro-controller via blue-tooth module to iThermo application contains integer values ranges from 0 to 255 based on the level of temperature.
Technical working:
1. (Hardware side): Working of iThermo application totally depends on the information sent by micro-controller that is supposed to be gathered using temperature sensor such as LM35 or DHT11.
2. (Application side): Note that this application only accepts the thermal level information in terms of integer values those should range from 0 to 255. According to the current level of temperature, micro-controller sends the appropriate integer value to iThermo over blue-tooth (that should range between 0 to 255). For example, let us say if temperature is 30°C then micro-controller is supposed to send integer value 30 to application. Application automatically converts temperature from degrees to Fahrenheit.
iThermo application requires your phone to be paired with blue-tooth module. When you will start the application, it will display the MAC address of all paired blue-tooth devices to select from. Now you need to select the MAC address of your blue-tooth module that is connected with the micro-controller on hardware side.
After that, application will take 3 to 4 seconds to establish an active connection between itself and blue-tooth module. As soon as it establish the connection with blue-tooth module, you need to select the AUTO or MANUAL mode to either turn ON or OFF the cooling device in automatic or manual way.
If you select AUTO mode, application will keep the cooling device ON if thermal level is greater than or equal to upper limit set by you, and it will turn OFF the cooling device if thermal level gets equal to or less than lower limit set by you.
If you select MANUAL mode, toggle button will be enabled for you to manually control the cooling device at desired thermal levels.
Application sends integer value 0 to micro-controller over blue-tooth link to turn OFF and integer value 1 to turn ON the cooling device.
Icon of blue-tooth in menu bar will help you to disconnect active connection or to reconnect previous connection.
**Note: In order to extend the range of communication between application and hardware, one can make use of zig-bee modules with blue-tooth modules.

Questions & Answers
Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.
