3 ★Was working fairly well to keep track of my cat who won't stay in our backyard as he was feral. Last few days stopped getting the gps signal/won't connect to Live. Did reset per troubleshooting procedure. Worked 1 day now back to weak gps signal. Have checked Samsung S 10 phone for satellites with another app, so it isn't blocked by structures. All the health monitors are not needed when main function is to track location...superfluous features may be affecting reliability? Keep it simple
5 ★I had a Cube for years and decided to switch when it got buggy. We've had Tractive for a few months now and LOVE it!! We use it for our barn cat and it's light and small enough that it doesn't bother her at all! I love how it tracks her activity as well as her location and charging is so easy with the magnetic connection! So glad we switched!
1 ★This used to work great. Then there was an update and now it's garbage. It tells me my dogs are outside of range when they are in my house, it'll tell me they are out of range, then right back in range seconds later, it takes too long to load saying that it's connecting to the network. If we're going to pay a year subscription for $100/per dog, then it needs to work more often than not. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
5 ★It takes a little while to get to know how the app works vs. your expectations. E.g. "accuracy" is within a circle around your pet's last position. So it's not pixel-precise, but within a few meters & once you know your pet's habits, it's easy to find him. Light: a small flashing dot in front of the tracker, only useful at night & within a certain distance. It'd be a good idea to buy the glow-in-the-dark protective cover. Sound: too low to be useful, don't rely on that to find pets. Rest is 👍.
3 ★The sound option on both my trackers are barely audible. I assume it's not loud at all to not spook the pet. Also the radar update is not as good as the old one. This new one doesn't update direction well at all and very difficult to navigate direction. Its very useful only when you are in very close proximity.
5 ★We are using the Tractive XL dog tracker on a large sulcata tortoise. It was easy to set up boundaries. The battery lasts FOREVER because our wifi covers the whole backyard. I agree with other users that say the sound and light are not powerful enough to make a lot of difference if you were tracking a faster moving pet like a dog or cat but for a tortoise, it is nice. When I know he is near but he is hunkered down, I can turn on the light and music and find him much more easily.
2 ★Not worth it!!! For the price point I would expect it to be accurate. My cat will be in the house with me & the tracker alerts me that he's outside in the "no go" area. Having it give me alters every 5 minutes especially when I'm not home has me constantly checking to see if he escaped but he's still in the house. You guys really need to fix that please, not only is it annoying, but it stresses me out a little. I'm not sure why it says he's across the street when he's right in front of me.

For a device which is over $100 /yr subscription and which maybe selling shared information (there is no disclaimer otherwise to notify that Tractive doesn't), the product testing needs to be thorough. If the device fails in tacking cats in large trees or grasses, a native territory for cats, then it's an under tested high priced device. As I said above, please update your technical solution. Your device doesn't work for upto 2 hrs. I have screenshots.
2 ★The device itself works pretty well and keeps a good job on the cat. I wish the ringer for live tracking was 20 times louder. also the charging port for this is very wonky unless you finesse it It doesn't always charge. so if you could fix these two design flaws I would be very appreciative.
1 ★Based on my initial testing while out on a walk, I am not even slightly satisfied with the performance. The app takes forever to update and I had to manually turn on tracking. Even after turning on tracking, it couldn't find a GPS signal despite having plenty of Open Sky. According to the app, my dog never left the house. The whole point of this device is knowing when and if the dog leaves the property. It doesn't sound like it's going to actually track anything. Whistle was better.
5 ★best value for price. can't get exact pinpoint, a bit of delay in out of safe zone notification, but based on reviews on other trackers, I don't think any of the existing trackers can provide that anyway. I bought this to make sure our dog doesn't wander too far from the house, and be able to locate her when she does, and this seems to be good for that. I like that the tracker is not heavy and can be easily attached to any collar. also, three weeks in and haven't had to recharge the battery yet.
4 ★I just started using this app. I had high hopes but wish I'd looked into other devices and apps before purchasing. The map does not update regularly and there's no way to manually wake it up to find your pet. I'm talking last update three hours ago. I tried a find test a foot away from the device and it wouldn't recognize it as being near for a few minutes. App is not intuitive, and the help files aren't great. And no way to speak with a customer support representative. Update 10.14, added stars
