Description

Shorty allows you to pin any file from your phone or URL link to home application. Simply install Shorty and share some file or text from any application.

Depending on file type you can also customize appearance of the icon. There are three possible icon styles:
• text - write up to 10 characters,
• thumbnail - depends on type of file,
• preview - currently supported only for images.

You can also pick icon background color and write custom label which will be displayed in your home app.

How to install Shorty APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download Shorty APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Update Phone Settings

Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK

Go to Downloads

Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (cz.mroczis.shorty-v1.0.5-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

3 ★I love the idea of this and the settings you have so far. Unfortunately I can't get it to work on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I'm not sure if it's the launcher (Microsoft Launcher) or something else. I can go through and change the settings, but when I hit the checkbox at the end it doesn't do anything (doesn't add to home screen or give me any error). If I can get this working I'll be happy to push it to a 5. EDIT: I've tried to share a pdf file with Shorty using both "My Files" from Samsung and Solid Explorer from the play store.

5 ★This app does one simple thing very well. My absolute favorite kind of app. No bloat, just one awesome way to add shortcuts to your launcher. Heard about this on All About Android and immediately fell in love with the app.
