1 ★What a rip off. When I bought the hub I was hoping that some day it would mature and be more reliable. I only use it to control my shades, and most of the times it does not work with resetting the unit. Now they are asking for a monthly subscription fee to even use it. It goes into the trash now.
1 ★Please fix local wifi controls if no subscription and I'll remove review. Paid $300 for a "smart" air conditioner that is now no better than a regular one - and there's no remote control. Total pain in the rear end! Thanks GE/Quirky/Wink, you're the absolute worst!
1 ★Great till they started charging for it. I signed up, and am getting charged but when I attempt to use the app away from home it won't allow me to access anything. Seems like before they started charging 60 dollars a year, they would make sure it works.
1 ★I have been with Wink from the beginning, and this iteration of Wink's business model is absolutely appalling. When you can't even remove and add your existing lock without a subscription it's time to move on. I can go on forever about many other things about Wink, but quite frankly it's not worth my time.
1 ★Got a few lights brand new at a reuse store. Can't use any functions at all with the wink app due to needing a paid subscription which I don't want. Cannot even use local support without signing up. The only good thing is the lights I got are led gu10 6w vs the old 50w halogens. They are simply used as regular bulbs now. Wink is trash. Worst new customer experience by far. I feel bad for people who spent loads on their product. Zero stars
1 ★Just frustrated,I originally bought bulbs and setup.After being happy with system,I was informed it would not work unless bought new wink hub2.Bought that,now they want a subscription for me to turn lights on and off via cellullar but say you still can do locally over wifi,but it wont let me to get to interface without CC. Im done with wink.I bought some inexpensive gosund outlets that work very well( like 25 dollars for 4) You cant dim them but thats fine. S__EW YOU WINK!
1 ★Can't believe they think they can charge for a slow service that rarely works. Just switched my 40 devices over to Smartthings and it's amazing! Devices pair on the first try and I don't have to wait several minutes for my devices to respond to inputs. Wish I would have switched years ago.
1 ★Worst app and product. Had over $150 worth of bulbs and accessories to help my disabled wife for several years . Bulbs consistently go off line, need to be reset at least once a week. Wink now wants me to pay a subscription. We'll I would like wink to refund the money I paid for the bulbs and hub. Good luck because neither are going to happen. Buh bye 👋 Wink.
5 ★The app works exactly as it should. Everyone is just sore that they started charging $5 a month.
1 ★I would encourage anyone reading this to report this app for violations of the Google Play Developer's Policy. In addition to leaking user's passwords MULTIPLE times, Wink is in violation of the Play Store policies by removing features from their app and replacing them with paid options. This is known as a "bait and switch" and it's a clear violation. If enough people report it they will be forced to remove this garbage and rethink their subscription scam.
1 ★I bought my Quirky GE ac because of the wink app. It was very convenient. Now I have to pay for the app??? Extremely disappointing! They changed the rules in the middle of the game. No more wink or GE products for us!
5 ★This app is great. Works flawlessly. Has great features that I've used to replace IFTTT and Stringify. Plus bonus Home Sitter mode is awesome. Well worth the $5 per month.
