--- How it works ---
★ When an individual note is locked, the password is permanently removed from your smartphone, and the note can't be decrypted without your password. You don't have to trust us, or any other third-party, since your password isn't stored anywhere.
★ You can sync individual notes online to ProtectedText.com and access them with a web browser. No registration or email address is needed. A note can be stored under any URL you'd like to use, e.g. yourname/sometitle, and then accessed through the app or online at ProtectedText.com/yourname/sometitle
The first user to use a specific URL owns it (by knowing the password that was used to encrypt the note on that URL).
★ The password never leaves your device, not even when notes are being synced online. Syncing notes with ProtectedText.com only stores encrypted text.
★ We can't decrypt your notes even if we wanted to. That gives you the ultimate security, but it also means that a lost password can never be recovered.
★ You can modify the same note on multiple devices, and when you sync notes, you'll be informed if there is a possibility that a note will be overridden by changes made in the meantime.
★ Deleting synced notes from your smartphone doesn't remove the online copy, so you can recover it later. But you can also permanently delete notes stored at ProtectedText.com website.
★ Notes can be shared online with friends by giving them the password to access your note at ProtectedText.com

-- Note about changing your phone:
Our app does not make an automatic backup of your notes anywhere, including Google Cloud system, since most of our users wouldn't consider that to be a secure and responsible thing to do. This also means that in order to transfer your notes from your old phone to your new phone - you might have to transfer your notes manually, which can be done simply by uploading them to our ProtectedText.com service, and then downloading them to your new phone (and optionally delete them from ProtectedText.com). In some cases, Google might automatically transfer all installed app data from old phone to new ones (encrypted content is copied as is, not decrypted).
-- Note about losing your phone:
We respect your privacy, so we would never store copies of your notes anywhere behind your back. This also means that if you lose your phone, you'll lose notes stored on that phone as well. That's why it's recommended to keep your notes in sync with our ProtectedText.com online service.

Both Safe Notes app and ProtectedText.com website use AES algorithm for encrypting/decrypting the content, together will 'salts' and other known good practices to achieve exceptional security; and SHA512 algorithm for hashing. On top of that, all data is only provided through SSL.

1 ★Changed rating to less. Made notes online then downloaded to app on phone. When you make changes or add notes online or on phone it should sync and update both. Had notes since a while but lost all when uploading to sync from mobile to online. Interestingly it was after a prompt to donate popped up for first time. I ignored it as it was stated to be free. Lost trust in both as can no longer be sure if would sync both ways anymore. Now storing text elsewhere unless this regains trust back again.
1 ★It's the worst ever I continue to loose all my notes and everything I save. Especially when I add a new page. Would not recommend. Sometimes all my separate pages become the same one over and over again. Highly disappointed.
4 ★very good app. The problem is it's inability to transfer to and from Gallery. I hope it will be upgraded soon. Kindly fix my problem : The content of a note has completely disappeared and in it's place the content of another note has appeared. How can I retreav my lost content ?
4 ★Good app. I just wish you could make some font bigger and bold.. but you cant it's all the same size. I also like how you can lock them.
5 ★Very nice app,allows you to lock your notes securely and can store your notes in the net ,can share notes with friends by only sharing passwords,can easily change font type of your work hence notes appears smarter. Thanks a lot to Safe Notes app
5 ★MAD APP! Zero ads. Zero mucking around. Best note-pad app i could find & i had to download & delete at least 10 & looked at way more than that before i found this 1, it is by far the best. This one is especially good if you want or need to password protect your private notes, best part about the passcode protection on this app is that you dont have to passcode protect them all, you can just pick & choose which ones you need to protect & the ones you dont. Perfect app for us. Thankyou Safe Note!
5 ★The app is OK but there is no print function. If you create notes, documents, etc, it stands to reason you would may want to print them. Another nice to have feature will to be able to undo, the previous change and the changes before that, and so on. It would be good to get a response from the creators, as my high rating of this app deserves one.
4 ★Great little app for keeping track of some semi sensitive information without getting over complicated. I find the app very useful and easy to use.
5 ★Overall at work and home I have over 30 secure accounts that must be changed every 90 days. They cannot contain any dictionary words and cannot repeat any of the previous 25 passwords. This app with the ability to lock my issued phone, the app itself and eveysingle entry with different pins is the only app I have fpund that meetes our security level of acceptance. Truely secure and a welcome change to others that promise much but comebup short. Thank you again.
5 ★Absolutely a great diary app. You have the option to put passwords on every note and organize by color, title, etc. Would definitely recommend
4 ★Love the way this app functions. I would use this one exclusively but for one thing, it lacks a dark mode. These screens are so hard on the eyes it would be helpful to tone the brightness down. The rest of this app is great! I love the password protection.
5 ★This is a great app this is a great app because of the fact that you can lock it with your own password you can also lock it with a pin. you can make a note and then open up a separate tab like a second page 3rd 4th ECT. it's all in all a great safe note app & it doesn't require a password to open like most do. But it does require your password to get into your locked / encrypted notes And it gives you all the tools needed to lock and encrypt your notes & more best I found out there
