Description

The official app for Divvy, Chicago’s bike share system.

Divvy consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. Our bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. Bikeshare is a greener, healthier way to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or exploring in a new city.

The Divvy App gives you access to thousands of bikes in your area — unlock and pay directly from the app and get going.

The Divvy App also shows upcoming public transit departures, including CTA ‘L’ train lines, local & express buses, shuttle buses, the Jeffery Jump Bus, Metra trains, PACE buses and the South Shore Line train.

Within the app, you can purchase the following Divvy passes:

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★After about a 10/15 minute break (sitting with the bikes) it auto-stopped the ride and charged extra for not stopping the ride at a parking station. No option to extend the ride that I could see when I wasn't done with the bike. Super non-obvious how to finish the ride for a first time user. Expensive to use an E-bike. First time setup was pretty stupid - it made me scan the bike 4 times before it finally let me pay. Don't let people scan until everything is ready!
1 ★This is the worst damn app I have ever used. Even after doing everything, making an account, signing in, etc, it only shows my profile. The entire thing constantly says "Get the app" when I AM IN THE APP!!! I'm using the damn app. I have the damn app opened but it's not doing anything useful. When you sign up you have to go through two sections just to get where I am now in the app. There's not enough room to tell you about how dragged out the sign up is.
2 ★The app doesn't record any of my trips. Also, if I want to scan a bike to unlock it, I have to enter my DOB, but the interface is only a swipe calendar. In order enter my birthday, I would have to swipe through over 700 months of calendars to get back to September of 1959. That's just plain stupid.
1 ★The app doesn't work. Everytime I try to unlock a bike I get an error message. It's good for finding stations but that's it. It's not always accurate as to whether the dock is full or empty as it counts broken bikes as being available.
5 ★I'm loving my Divvy experience - it makes for a fun and convenient commute to and from work every day! After thinking for years that every trip was $3, I recently discovered the $99 year-long membership (unlimited 45-minute rides). It paid for itself within 2 months of use (I would generally spend $45-50/month using CTA). I'm 50 rides in - in that timeframe I experienced 2 technical glitches where I could not unlock a bike and 2 times where I needed to dock my bike and there were no open docks.
1 ★Usage totally unclear. Bought a day pass thinking it covered their equipment, but turns out it ONLY covers classic bikes. Rode around Chicago to cheer my wife during the marathon and was billed over $85 USD for a few trips. Had I known ahead of time I might have taken only classic bikes. Except that would have been tough because they were typically all taken anyway. A total waste.
1 ★Good to know it's not just me. On a Samsung Galaxy S5 with otherwise no connectivity issues, same problems that everyone else is reporting with unresponsiveness and the map snapping back to some default location repeatedly. I had no such problems with Capital Bikeshare in DC on this same phone.
1 ★First one star review I've EVER given. Their app is completely broken, my credit card was charged multiple times and had to call customer service multiple times just to eventually get a full refund due to them taking MULTIPLE hours of my time to sort my issue out. I will not ever be using anything Lyft related ever again.
1 ★Doesn't work well, we ended up wasting a lot of money on this in Chicago. 4 people trying to rent bikes; paying for day passes, app not working, charging some of us to unlock and some not. Finally had to pay at the station (so twice!!) I would suggest rent a bike at a local company instead, for the day
1 ★Installed the app in my hotel room to enter my credit card and prepare for the day. I went to look at the unlocking process, it charged my card even though I didn't unlock a bike. Later when I was actually at a station, I tried to unlock a bike and it didn't work. Instead of charging my card, it wouldn't get past the cvv number. So I still haven't actually gotten to try renting a bike, and haven't been refunded the charge.
1 ★Bikes are never where I need them. I bought this stupid annual subscription and it's a waste. My codes only work 50% of the time and when there are one or two bikes at the docking station my app will tell me there aren't any bikes there. Such a garbage service. I walk to 4 or 5 stations before I can ever get a bike. I might as well walk to my destination.
5 ★Awesome app, helps to explore great views and transit between school to home for students. Thanks Divvy, great innovation and services, keep going. Few things can be improved such as incresing docks at overused stations and also adding padded seats to bikes. Cheers !!!
