How to install Downtowner APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download Downtowner APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.downtownerapp.downtownerapp-v3.1.17-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

4 ★Love the concept and most days it works well. My only complaint would be that when I schedule a ride and it says "50 minutes" then they are here in 15, I have to cancel and re-enter my ride request and it puts you all the way at the end and you end up waiting way longer than the original ride. It's a bit inconvenient when that happens; I end up just walking which messes up my schedule a bit. It'd be nice to try to schedule rides ahead of time, like a 15 minute window or something.
5 ★Service in Tampa is 5* without question, even if the wait is long sometimes, especially when it rains. That just means we need more cars/drivers! Love the new cars, but the little trolleys are charming & fun. Everything is electric & I can leave the car at home most days (I live downtown, just over 1 mile from work but I'm handicapped & couldn't walk that far). Going to lunch w/coworkers is fun even when it's far, no need to worry about parking or traffic. Most of the drivers are a delight and even the "worst" are polite and friendly. My thanks to all who make this service possible. Please extend to Ybor City so I can go to the movies more frequently. :-) The app on the other hand is a 3* at best. It frequently crashes, won't allow to save locations except for home, the map is not very detailed, etc. You can now write a review after each ride (beyond giving it stars) but the app closes the keyboard after each letter! The last couple of days it won't show the ETA before you book a ride so I'm forced to book then cancel just to see how soon I can put the request through for good. I've updated the app to no avail. Please fix at least this soon! Thanks, RT

4 ★App's good, great concept, but sometimes drivers never show up. A lot of times the wait it is over 30 minutes.
1 ★In concept it's a good idea but an idiot driver who was texting on his phone with an empty bus almost ran over my dogs. I was walking out of the building with my dogs going towards the garage the bus was at a complete stop and as I was walking towards the garage in front of the bus this idiot just started driving towards me and almost hit my dogs!!! He's lucky he didn't
1 ★The people that operate this service here in Tampa are EVIL VILE and HORRIBLE. They're also MEAN NASTY and RUDE. If you live in Tampa BOYCOTT this service!!! They don't care about your complaints or anyrhing else for that matter.
1 ★Complete BS Driver invited a person that we have problems with to ride eith us. We got out of cart and now they refuse to pick us up.
3 ★App is fine. Tampa could use a few more cars. Every time I've tried to use it there is a 45+ minute wait.
