Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

5 ★This app is a masterpiece, and still it continues to improve.
5 ★If you're an outdoor enthusiast (love mountains) and your looking for new adventures, want to introduce friends or young ones to the outdoors, you can find a list or destination that's perfect for that next outing. Location maps are great supplemented with other user's trip reports are often helpful. You can even add other user's GPS tracks to the maps.
5 ★Awesome app to locate/identify nearby mountains. It links to the peakbagger database and can download tracks directly into the app. It tracks your location (with permission) so can be used to follow a downloaded track. I've used it several times to add extra peaks to my trip when I have the time. It helped me find mountains close to me and navigate to the trailhead. Sometimes, I just wonder about the names of mountains I am driving by and can open the app to find out.
5 ★I've been looking for a good gps map app for a while and couldn't't be more happy about this one. I love being able to DL maps, making it easier to see my progress while linked to GPS on the trail. The peak specific weather reporting has been a gift from the trail gods. The fact that this app is completely free with zero pop up adds blows my mind. I have already spread the word. At least 4 of my hiking community now love it. Good job Peakbagger!
5 ★I use this app for peakbagging Sierra Club's Hundred Peak List. This is the best app I haveI tested and it is completely FREE. Other apps might be free but you need to pay additional subscription for download topo maps to you phone for offline use. Big plus is Peakbagger can import Google Earth KML files into this app to display tracks. This is how I use the map: before I set out for bagging a mountain, I launch Peakbagger, search for that peak in app and save that peak for offline use. Next I go to HundredPeakSection to download KML file for that peak to my phone. Open that KML file with Peakbagger and voila. I do mostly solo hikes so Peakbagger provides me a peace of mind knowing that I am never lost as long as GPS and phone works. Of course a traditional map, compass and be familiarize with your route is a must. This iapp is a backup. Make sure to bring external phone batteries as backup.
3 ★It seems like a good app... But many much of the functionality like adding ascents is only found in the main website. I would like to be able to add ascents from the app itself. I also have a problem as there is no real help section for the app, so I had to fumble around for an hour just to figure out how to use it. A tutorial or help page explaining how to use the app for new users would be tremendous.
5 ★I love this app! I've been using the main site and ListofJohn for a few years. The idea of having access through my cellphone never appealed to me. Nevertheless I downloaded the app and tried it. It works really well. I'm able to work on my peak lists and research in a streamlined way that is very enjoyable and convenient. Also, the links to ListofJohn and Summit post are very helpful. I'm sure there are some tweaks that could make it even more useful but altogether I really like it.
5 ★Absolutely phenomenal app if you like finding, planning, and tracking your hikes.
4 ★I like this app but there are two things I'd love to be able to do: make my own lists (there are a couple lists not in here) and when viewing a specific peak, see the date(s) I hiked it.
5 ★Great and a must app for hikers
5 ★Best summit tracking app out there, especially if you're already a user of the site! This app not only does it's function great, because of the robust and extensive database supporting it one is able to link externally to to other resources (weather, other summit tracking site trip reports, map resources, etc.) Wonderfully designed and simple to use.
4 ★Good solid app
