1 ★The only reason I can see for this app to exist is so you can cast to other devices. Store, settings, all the other garbage it has is available in the headset itself (which is great, BTW. This review is just for the app). Out of the approximately 2 dozen times I've tried to cast it's worked once. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps. Uninstall, reinstall; power cycle, WiFi restart etc.... Apparently it just works whenever Zucks decides it should.
2 ★How it works: One day you found out your device was forced to log out and you need to jump through hoops, create more accounts to get it back. Then you end with this app that just doesn't work and don't allow you to get your device back. Nice. At least I know NOT to buy quest3. 2 stars instead of 1… because app looks kinda cool despite being useless.
1 ★App won't upload my recorded gameplay that's 7 mins or more. Before I updated the app, all my videos would sync and play on the meta quest app on my phone, now anything over 7 mins won't sync. I tried all the procedures for the mobile app( let it sit idle and charging for hours, same wifi connection as headset and bluetooth on, even Uninstall and install again) and headset( unsync and sync videos individually again, even factory reset). Still won't work.very frustrating as a Content creator
1 ★App wont play videos, crashes when I try to play them. This is an issue that's been going on for months, no fix. I can't be the only one experiencing this. App has always been slow af. Haven't been able to upload videos to my YouTube channel since I can't view/edit my videos on this garbage app. Edit: still broken. Youtube Channel is dead now. Don't buy if you want to create content and don't have a PC! My quest 3 money will go towards saving for a set up I can edit with. What a waste of money.
2 ★The responsiveness of tapping on things gets slower and slower with each tap, such that by the time I've tapped on 4 or 5 things it seems like nothing is happening. This is especially excruciating when trying to go in and clean up my chats/notifications. Restarting the app is the only way I can get the taps to be responsive again, for another 4 or 5 taps.
1 ★It's no longer a good app for managing what happens on your occulus because I now can't even connect to it also The media player absolutely sucks, you can't even play media from it because it constantly freezes or stops the video on it's own by with infinitely loading and preventing internet connection from downloading or by force pausing the video every fraction of a second. 2. Takes a while to load anything in the app and when trying to buy something off the store it always says payment failed
1 ★So far this app has been completely useless to me. I can't start a report in the help and support center. It won't let me go to the family center as a parent. It also won't let me add a card in the wallet so I'm stuck with trials of games until I can get these issues resolved. Utilizing the app or the headset it won't let me add a card. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well. I will update this pending support.
1 ★No solution is frustrating and I'm so disappointed in this purchase. Imagine getting this a week before your child's birthday and not being able to do anything about it for weeks with no resolve. It's brand new out the box and can't finish setup. This app is buggy and the other options and device settings don't work. You reset, restart, uninstall, reinstall, and factory reset to not be able to do anything. 2 weeks and still cant use it. I need support and even that is crashing.
1 ★The app is really bad with glitches kicking me out, not allowing me to purchase games saying that they are unavailble despite them being availble, slow thinking time, refusing to connect my headset, casting not working, and poor or little options when it comes to editing videos with the only option being shortening the video. The only things that work how they should with the app is the account stuff and the purchasing/wallet stuff. I would delete this app, but I need it to mange my quest 2.
1 ★I've only used this app to save photos I took on Quest, but trying to save synced pictures from my headset to phone is an absolute joke. There is NO "Save to Photos" buttons at all, forcing you to upload the image somewhere else. Don't get be started on the countless Session Expired errors too, forcing me to reinstall the app and log back in.
1 ★App won't allow me to turn on phone notifications to the headset. It let's me go through the whole process of setting it up, and looks like it's going to work, but then nothing happens. When I check the settings in the app again Phone Notifications is turned off. If I try to turn it on, the app flashes the setup page for a second and then toggles it back off. I've reinstalled, restarted, cleared the cache, cleared storage, everything. This app is broken in some very dumb ways.
1 ★I've basically softlocked myself while trying to factory reset my headset. (Q2) Don't even get me started on the quality of the headset itself. Struggling to pair the headset due to the fact it's still paired. Despite when logging into my meta account on their website, it shoes "No devices are linked to this account", or something along that. I've been dealing with q2 problems In general for about 1.7 years now. Nothing has permanently fixed them so far. Until then I'll keep slugging along.
