Las reducciones de emisiones o remociones de gases efecto invernadero (GEI) calculadas en esta aplicación son de carácter educativo, para que los ciudadanos estimen de manera indicativa su aporte a la mitigación de GEI causantes del calentamiento global. Debido a esto, dichas reducciones de emisiones o remociones de GEI no se tendrán en cuenta dentro de la contabilidad nacional de reducciones de emisiones o remociones de GEI, y por tanto, no serán elegibles ni válidas en ningún programa de certificación de GEI, lo que implica que no pueden ser ofertadas en el marco de ningún instrumento de fijación de precio al carbono, ni en ningún mecanismo de mercado de carbono a nivel nacional o internacional u otro instrumento similar.
