Description
This app allows you read and search the monthly newsletters of the Tampa PC Users Group from 1988 through 2016. The Main Page consists of a scrollable collection of newsletter front pages. A tap on a front page will bring up that newsletter in the default Adobe file reader on your Android device (so you need to have an app that reads Acrobat files installed).These newsletters are a virtual store of personal computing history.
The newsletters from 1988 through November 1995 were scanned from paper documents into Acrobat. All subsequent newsletters were printed directly to Acrobat. The pre-December 1995 newsletters had Optical Character Recognition performed on them so as to be able to be text searchable. An index was them made of the text in these newsletters and combined with a similar index of the more recent newsletters to provide a searchable index for all newsletters.
