4 ★Edit: better since the most recent update, doesn't seem to crash anymore. It's OK. Not enough old (90s/00s) reality shows and the app is awful to use. I've been trying to watch something for an hour or more and it just keeps pausing and buffering every 5 mins for 5 mins at a time. Or I have to close everything, reset my phone and turn the tv off to make it work again. This isn't the first time either, it's been like this since I started using it over 2 years ago.
1 ★Signed up and paid my subscription. 3 weeks in halfway through a season and having problems signing in and the app recognising my log in. I have wasted so much time trying to log in log out that I've cancelled my subscription. This happened to me last year also. The app is way to hard. I'd rather pay an extra $1 or so for a better experience.
1 ★They really need to improve their app interface. The app is unresponsive for most of the time and for some reason I'm not able to access any content even though I already paid a month's subscription. EDIT: It baffles me why they stuff ads into a PAID subscription service. Don't bother with this headache of an app.
1 ★Worked okay (sometimes issues with sync of the subtitles but that's about it) since yesterday's update I can't use Chromecast anymore. When casting to a device it still plays on my phone screen while indicating it's casting (Chromecast shows the hayu screen) and "No media selected"
2 ★Great shows. Terrible app. Even on the computer the website is slow and glitches. Sometime I have to refresh the page 5 times before it would allow me to play the video.
3 ★Not impressed with this app. You're now forced to watch 15 second adverts of shows they have on the app before watching a show. I don't want to be bugged with ads, when I'm paying for a subscription, regardless of whether it's Hayus own!! Second of all I don't like the fact that you can't rotate the screen while watching a show on your phone, it makes it really awkward to charge your phone at the same time. I've used hayu on/off for a couple of years and it's still feels like the app is in beta.
1 ★Im sure it might be wonderful if you can actually access the content, unfortunately error messages are a constant. According to Google Play I have signed up and will be charged but according to Hayu I need to "finish sign up", which is impossible as an error message constantly pops up. I've unsubscribed and resubscribe, uninstalled and re-installed to no avail. A massive shame and an infuriating experience.
3 ★This app is so annoying!! I always have to shut it down and restart as I get messages saying "something has gone wrong" I never keep it for a long periods of time because it does not work very well. Fix the problems!!! Sometimes I try and play videos and they just won't play. Have to close it down and restart!
2 ★Love the content but this app is a pain in the neck, it takes ages to load, when trying to stream on the tv with the chrome cast it is so slow or has to restart a few times, when pausing a show to get a cup of tea, it just won't continue and have to force stop the app and restart everything again. The experience is not good. Because of the issues with streaming h from my phone I have installed apple tv so i can watch directly and now the sound is out of sync after pausing it for a min
2 ★A highly frustrating app! I have it on my Nvidia Shield TV, and the content is pretty good, but the interface is frustrating. Having to constantly hit the 'Hide controller' button after starting a show is amateurish at best. Pausing and rewinding is finicky. I'm also having frequent issues with shows pausing and then restarting right back at the beginning - this happens 2-4 times an hour. It's almost not worth the money.
1 ★Useless app. I can't stream it by pairing it on my Samsung TV..its been over 3 months... It was working before but now I can only watch it on my mobile which is ridiculous. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalled the app on my Samsung TV as well as amazon fire tv and it doesn't work on either. I tried screen mirroring but it says screen mirroring is not possible for security reasons???? So I've cancelled my subscription. Don't subscribe to HAYU ..not worth it. Waste of money .
1 ★I pay $6.99 a Month for an app that works if your lucky! I might get to watch 1 show a week & if it dose work then I have to binge watch stuff because you never know when its going to let you watch it! & kiss goodbye your weekends watching something you have PAID for! All I get is ERROR sorry this won't play try again later! WTH & tonight I tried to write to the help center & I wrote a huge comment & it said! Sorry Can't Send! & I have GREAT internet & mobile internet & cant watch Hayu :(
