2 ★Not as bad as I expected, but still bad. Pretty much everything has bugs from the display of searched products, to category search, to checkout (of course.) Consistently displays items with all sizes out of stock in search results. I don't see any way to filter by in stock only. Not constantly bad, but almost unusable just often enough to be annoying. Most recent issue is adding items to and displaying wishlist. It just doesn't work. Unknown error messages. Refreshing doesnt help. The usual
3 ★Typing in credit card info is super glitchy. After every set of 4 numbers, the 1st number of the next set will duplicate & then backtrack & make it frustrating to type. Same thing happens with the credit card date as well, making it auto complete to "22" for the year instead of allowing you to type the correct year if it's not 2022. Also, not sure why, but we got a "null null" message when checking out at one point. Not sure what we did wrong. 🤷🏼♀️
3 ★It's a good app all in all. I can see a lot of products easily and the stuff I buy is always great. My main issue is that my wishlist doesn't load properly. Often times I find myself not being able to look at what I have on there due to a false network error. I hope this gets fixed because I don't want to have to reinstall the app constantly for it to work.
3 ★if you downloaded this app, you probably know what you're signing up for. for what it is, i think it's good, albeit sometimes can be buggy. i've had to uninstall and reinstall a few times to get glitches to go away. if i could change anything about the app, i would add the ability to filter OUT certain brands/licenses/etc. scrolling through miles and miles of disney/marvel/star wars garbage just to get to the good stuff is discouraging, to say the least.
2 ★Garbage app. Whoever is in charge of the app portion of Hot Topic needs to go back to school to relearn how to build a quality app. Barely any QOL features, terrible loading efficiency and worst of all? You press the back button on a smart phone and it closes the app no matter where you are in it! Have you never used a modern smart phone before?
2 ★You're better off using the Web Navigator on Chrome/Safari/Internet Browser. Difficult to navigate, and lacks key filters for TYPE of product ("swim", "dresses", "skirts", etc...). Not every product is labeled either, so if you look something up you only get what was actually marked. Also, I don't understand the "Select Gender"? I selected Girls, take a wild guess. Layout is overall very clunky and cheap, and just all out not efficient. Save the space on your phone, use the web app.
2 ★Still no direct link to manage the HT Guest List credit card, so I have to go searching for it every month to pay my bill. Every retailer I have a credit card with other than HT has managing their store credit card available in their app. It's ridiculous not to. Hopefully this app at least functions better than the last version that continually crashed while trying to shop.
1 ★Great to browse on. Won't let me checkout though. Each time it says too many redirects. App is up to date too. Hopefully bug gets fixed in next update. Edit: Still will not let me checkout. I enter all my info and when I hit 'Review Order', it deletes everything! Web browser isn't any better. I log in and when I try to view anything on my account, it takes me back to the log in screen...
1 ★I have been a follower of HOT Topic for almost two decades: A very loyal customer. This recent update on this app is garbage! My main issue is that I can't see my shopping cart; which in the long run means, I can't check out. Everytime I try to bring up my cart is says there is an error & to retry; but every time I retry the same message pops up. It's been like this since the update & I have now missed out on 3 major sales. I'm not happy; Hopefully this will help others. Please fix it!
2 ★Fun to scroll though but your better off using the website, the app has big issues. Theres many products that are on the website but dont show up on the app, some portals on the front page to take you to different sections take you to a completely different one, the wishlist ends up crashing and wont work until you log out and than it removes everything in it. I dont have experience buying on the app since I mainly use it to track what I want to buy in store so I cant comment on that.
1 ★The app freezes. When you select an item you would like to buy and then continue shopping you can't return where you were scrolling. It starts you right back at the beginning which is extremely frustrating when you can't remember whether you were on page 12 or 15 etc. It has a lot of potential but it needs some fixing. My other shopping apps are working fine, too 🤣 I had to check since this one was acting off thinking it could just be my signal.
1 ★I have had some issues with the app for the last 2 or 3 weeks. I added a few things to my cart and left it. The next time I went into the app, I wasn't able to access my cart. I waited a while, updated the app. Last night I deleted it completely and cleared the data completely. But the cart was still saying there were 4 items [I couldn't access] and I was still unable to add to the cart when I reloaded into my account. Developer Email doesn't work to send issue to.
