Bring your Green Mountain Grill into the 21st century with our grill management app. This app utilizes WiFi technology and has a range of up to 40 meters in point to point mode. You also have the ability to connect your grill to your home network in WiFi Mode and to our cloud based system in server mode. You can create grill profiles, monitor meat temps, set timers and alarms, and adjust grill temps from inside your home or anywhere. We have recently added calibration tools to calibrate both air temperature and probe temperatures. 3 ★I'd like the app to graph the internal and external temperatures during my cooks and save them for reference. Predicting cook time to completion is also nice to have. Unless monitoring the temp closely, it's difficult to tell if your grill is running hot or cool in comparison to the temp you've set. In addition to the built in thermometers, I typically use a Meater thermometer and app which provides the addition features I like. Regarding controlling the grill remotely, the app does the job.
4 ★Can take a bit to get used to the different modes of connectivity such as wifi, server, etc. A few things I would change: allow users to share, upload, and download profiles. Allow users to download more recipes and have them send to profiles. Allow users to move and skip steps in the profiles.
3 ★Wifi connecting through the app is very temperamental!!! Might not even be the word for it, cause half the time it doesn't connect at all no matter how many times I try. I'm giving three stars cause i love the grill other than the wifi capabilities. Pretty disappointed about the Wifi problems and lack thereof wifi. It was one of the biggest selling points about the grill I loved, but not being able to use it is very frustrating!!! I hope GMG fixes this quick!!!
3 ★The app is okay, but it needs work. Samsung Note 9, app doesn't shut down properly; must 'force stop' it or restart my phone to shut it down. Also, my DB grill has two food probes, but the app only displays one temperature. And when i set the food temp alarm, it either didn't go off or didn't keep going off, and I overcooked the food I had on the smoker. Wi-Fi smokers are surprisingly useful, but this app doesn't quite fully leverage the potential of the feature.
4 ★Bought my grill a month or so ago, set it up, connected to my wifi and was smoking within 60 minutes of my initial burn-in. The only small hiccup was trying to go into server mode (which didn't connect) and then trying to reconnect to the grill for control. I just had to setup the wifi again between the phone/grill/router. 3 minute delay tops. I would like to see 2 probe spots available for the profile setup though, maybe average the temperature across both before another step is activated. Also better server mode please!
1 ★The grill does not live up to the hype! The temperature control not very good (the fire sometimes goes out) and the app forces reinstalls from time to time due to connectivity issues. This has not been a very good experience! I have experienced two main board failures, I am very familiar with updating the firmware. The grill has been a lot of trouble, I regret not paying more money for something that has a better track record. Beware to any customers thinking about buying this Grill, I deeply regret spending the money on it! I have no Wi-fi once again, and the warranty is about to expire. There is no way that I can afford to continue to put main boards into this after the warranty has expired. The parts are not very durable, buyer beware!
4 ★The app has made smoking and cooking, in general, extremely easy. The only improvement, that I see imperative, is having a refresh function. When walking out of range, I have to disconnect, and reconnect to the grill's network, to check temps. This is the only reason I give it 4/5 stars.
5 ★Works great with my 2019 Daniel Boone, Works flawlessly once you get it set up right, all the people complaining that the app doesn't connect, is because they don't know how to set it up correctly. I mostly use it to set the grill temperature and read food temperature, but the recipe book is a nice addition also. Thumbs up
1 ★Used to live this app but when I just went to connect to my grill the damn notification alerts every 2 seconds...had to silence them which is kind of ridiculous. Fix it please it's useless right now
1 ★I've installed and uninstalled this app 3 times now on my Samsung note 8. I never get a prompt to connect to my wifi. It doesn't find my grill so I can't use it. Others seem to have similar issues. It would be a great benefit to use it since I know it's promoted as a feature and it's built into the price. Discouraging
5 ★Fantastic Smoker/Grill easy wifi connect and server works great! With as easy as it is to start this thing, why even resort to gas grills. Almost as fast and taste way better. Used this grill on a frozen Red Lake in Minnesota January! with -15° weather and 20mph wind gusts. Used to to keep for warm and not frozen. Then push a button and warm it back up with out having to go out into the frozen tundra! Recipe's make other cooks jealous! Customer support rocks and is uber helpful!
4 ★works well in point to point communication. i have used server mode a few times amd really like the feature to be able to leave the house and still have it cook without my wife having to make adjustments when i am not there. only had an issue once with server where it stopped communicating and needed to rest the device when i got back home. overall a pretty tight app! i wish though it had more built in recipes and profiles in the app. Paint has been peeling off on the new Prime Grill not happy!
