HomeSafe View: Live Swann DVR viewing on your Android phoneHomeSafe View supports the following features:
Multi-channel viewing with up to 16 cameras on screen at the same time (16ch view works best on tablets)
Play back stored recordings from your DVR on your handset or tablet (requires high upload speed internet)
Capture video from your camera live view to your Phone to play back later
Capture single and multi still images and save these to your Phone's picture library
Control PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras remotely
Note: Current model handsets and tablets are recommended for high resolution playback and live viewing more than 8 cameras at once.

Note: This app uses a data stream that will connect to your Swann DVR via 3G/4G or WiFi. When using 3G/4G, the video from your DVR will likely be considered "downloads" by your phone service provider and will contribute to any download limit your phone data plan may have. If you exceed any plan limits you may incur additional usage charges. Consult with your mobile service provider regarding the use of a video streaming app and how it may affect your plan.

How to install HomeSafe View APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download HomeSafe View APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page

- Confirm with OK

1 ★Issues with the whole system! From the very first few months of installing the Swann system - two of four cameras failed (even the replacement is now faulty BEFORE install!!). I'm not able to connect to anything and there's been various technical software interface issues. The final pain is this app - if it works, that's fine but it doesn't.. My whole system is absolute rubbish and I wish I'd NEVER brought it. Now down to three of four cameras, system refuses to record after 1.5 years use 😡
1 ★The app stopped working and is terribly glitchy, the customer service isn't helpful at all. If I could return this camera I would but taking them down is a pain in the ass like putting them up. I 100% regret getting these camera. I got it for security and now if something happens the recording are only accessible on the dvr not on the phone like it use to be. Total waste of money!!!!!
3 ★Since the update to Android 11 app connects and immediately crashes. Unable to connect via phone waiting for update I have had this system for about 18 months and it has worked perfectly. I got a new phone and could not connect. I uninstalled the app reinstalled it and it connected perfectly. Great job Swann! This system also got a porch pirate some jail time 😁 and restitutions to pay me back! Awesome
1 ★Would work good, IF, it didn't crash all the time. I have to uninstall and reinstall every few day, because I lose ALL INFO. Well its 6/30/2020 AND the app CONTINUES to crash every few days. Really frustrating when you go to check on your house and your security app crashes on you.10/03/2020...once again the app crashed. Needs to be fixed. Tired of uninstall and reinstall app to get it to work, especially if I'm away on vacation, not good when you can't check on your house. Maybe change to RING.
1 ★App crashes on Android 11. I upgraded my Pixel 4XL to Android 11 and since then I cannot use HomeSafe View because it crashes immediately. Swann please update your app! I bought the system because it is supposed to work with the app. I will ask for my money back, since the main functionality is missing! Not happy at all !!!
1 ★Pros: it does work, just. Cons: Clunky UI, terrible battery consumption if you want to keep your notifications coming through while you are away from home. Expect a battery to be drained in around 6 hours, just having this feature on. Update 2nd October 2020: app now crashes every time I try to open it. I am now UNABLE TO VIEW MY CAMERAS FROM MY PHONE, period. Update needed ASAP please.
1 ★Disconnected, The DVR notified me of a first ever update in a year. I hit update, set up went smoothly and all seemed ok. This morning I got into work and the DVR wanted me to type in the password, I thought ok, sunday it normally resets itself so it's probably the new feature.. All seemed ok, as its connected to the office tv so I can see the yard.. Tonight I wanted to check something and the dvr says its disconnected. Cant log in remotely! What's the point in that?
1 ★The name itself is ironic. How does one know their home is safe if they cannot view it, because the app doesn't load anything. Opens up, loads a little bit, then crashes. I tried the other swann security app, also doesn't work. So my cameras are effectively just fancy Infrared ornaments on my house, that I hope scare thieves away. Fix it!!!
1 ★This app is just this side of worthless. Thinking about junking the entire system and buying a different brand never heard of infrared cameras that need light in order to record at night I even bought a new camera thinking the camera might be bad no luck new camera same way so I thought the port might be bad so I changed ports from one camera to the next still the same thing as far as I'm concerned this system is junk calling their customer service is a laughing matter
4 ★I like the app and design etc. But find the bottom menu bar can get in the way while trying to double tap the cameras on the bottom row to maximise them. Also it says the last fix solved the crashing issue but this doesn't seem to be the case for my S9+. Plus it rarely lets me view with 4g even though I haven't changed settings and have the swann dns server set up and tells me test successful when I test on the DVR
1 ★Frustrating App, it's really not fit for purpose. Wanted piece of mind. Hope it records when it matters, not impressed. Your Software developers need replacing! Brilliant it's got worse! Android 11 update, App doesn't work at all now! Pull the plug and stop selling this rubbish!!!!!!
1 ★Does not work with Android 11 . Come on Swann get it together!!! How long will it take to get it to work ? likely by the time Android 12 rolls out. Its not easy to go back to Android 10 . I think I'll return it. and go with Unifi protect!
