3 ★Better than it was and less likely to crash then before. And grams is now grams both for current and previous brews. But please please please put the brew buttons at the top of the brew page. Having latest brew at the top is the right thing, but who thought it was a good idea to force the user to flick through hundreds of saved brews to scroll.to the brew brew start buttons at the bottom of the page?
1 ★App is really poorly designed. Bought the Bluetooth kettle and half the time I'm unable to connect. Kettle itself is great the experience is just horrible when using Bluetooth Update: please note Acacia app is not designed to turn on the kettle, the Brewmaster app is designed to turn on and temperature control the kettle. Devs: please sort out with the kettle manufacturer if you are upset about negative reviews. You and the manufacturer need to be on the same page. Your response is concerning
1 ★Two times now i haven't been able to connect this Android app to my Acacia Pearl without going into the scale settings and confirming the Bluetooth on setting –which it already was set at. Using the app, couldn’t manually start the timer without going to the scale settings to confirm manual—this despite there being two options on the app. The flow rate—in tiny font—jumped all over the place while pouring, and there was a disconcerting mess of blue bars on the right. No visible way of setting the
2 ★Unfortunately, the app has just limited communication with the device. It has its own algorithm to decide when to autostart the measurement on flow. The autostart detection of the scale is reliable, but that of the app is not, and often messes up the brewing profile. Also, the app has no autostop. Why is the autostart/autostop information not received from the scale? If it works, seeing the brewing profile is nice, but overall, it is more frustrating than useful.
1 ★Had many problems with this app. Customer Support was very poor. Deciding to send the pearl 2021 scale back since It isn't smart enough as a smart scale at this point
3 ★It was unclear how to initially connect the scale (a Lunar 2021), and once connected, while logging a brew, even though the scale is set to metric and the display initially starts in g/s, it immediately changes to oz/s?
1 ★This app is just... bad. It is so. poorly designed. Connectivity alone is a nightmare. Considering the prices of your scales, your apps (all of the Acaia apps in fact) are an impudence. Shame on you Acaia. I recommend checking out Beanconqueror. Great app, well made. This is how it's done, not this piece of cr**
1 ★Shockingly bad given the cost of the scale. No option to change weight units. Indeed the scale sends over weight in grams which are interpreted as ounces by the app (apparently I made a 1.2kg espresso this morning!). The auto connection is also buggy meaning I have to go into settings before every brew to reconnect the scale. Beyond that quite a few button presses are required to start recording and it's quite easy to accidentally discard a brew without saving. Overall very poor workflow.
4 ★I was able to connect the acaia scale to my phone after trying so many times by turning on my Location (gps).
3 ★I actually like this pp. I think it's the best of the Acaia apps (although that's it saying a lot). What bugs me... And it bugs me 2 stars worth, is that I can select the temperature units, but not the weight units. My scale is in grams, the converter calculates in grams, but my brewprints are in ounces. It makes the brewprints basically useless to me. This is the problem with all their apps, besides having random apps to open, they only kind of work, and some don't work at all.
