Description
Ufa is a city of Russia, capital of the Bashkir Republic, on the right bank of the Belaja River (river port), near the confluence with the Ufa River. The city was founded in 1574 by order of Ivan the Terrible as a stronghold to defend the south-eastern region of the Russian Empire from external incursions.
