Med app´en Limfjordslitteratur vil brugeren kunne få et indtryk af dels hvor kendte danske forfattere fra Limfjordsområdet har boet og virket, dels et kortfattet førstehåndsindtryk af disse forfatteres litteratur. App´en skal således fungere som informationsbank og ”appetizer” til disse forfattere. Med app´en kan man som litteraturhistorisk interesseret og som lokalhistorisk interesseret ”kulturturist” søge informationer og steder af særlig interesse omkring Limfjorden.Forfatterne er:
Aksel Sandemose, J.P. Jacobsen, Johannes Buchholtz, Thøger Larsen, Jeppe Aakjær, Johannes V. Jensen
Applikationen Limfjordslitteratur er udviklet i et samarbejde mellem en række museer omkring Limfjorden i Nordjylland, Danmark. Følgende museer har bidraget:
Lemvig Museum, Struer Museum, Museet for Thy og Vester Hanherred, Johannes V. Jensen Museet, Museet Jenle. Dertil kommer Aksel Sandemose Selskabet.
App´en er et led i et større projekt: hjemmesiden limfjordslitteratur.dk, som er bevilget og finansieret af Kulturstyrelsen 2011-12.
Helt overordnet har hjemmeside og app til formål at formidle museal viden om nogle af de mange kendte danske forfattere med tilknytning til Limfjordsegnene. Museernes store historiske og lokalhistoriske viden, fortællinger og samlinger af genstande formidles hermed i de nye, digitale medier.
