1 ★Taking too long to scan for gps, even with plugin installed
5 ★Works fine for my needs. Downloading the gps constellation data is a massive time saver when trying to grab signals indoors. Any gps speedbumps have more to do with how my stock S5 handles the gps radio and data. I wouldnt put too much faith in the angle indicators, but again that has more to do with the hardware platform than the app. Does what it says on the tin.
5 ★It's a great tool. Has everything you need and nothing you don't. Allows you set and change the most important GPS reciever settings. This app can use the GPS sensor only, without A-GPS (assisted GPS by cell towers for a faster fix). Not many NAV apps let choose between A-GPS and pure GPS. Before you head into the wilderness you can download the newest A-GPS data for a faster satellite fix later when you need it. You can also pre save waypoints. Love the simple NAV rose.
1 ★I just opened the app and got a message telling me my Pro license was deactivated, even though I don't remember it had a "expiration time" of sorts. That's not how you do business, in case you didn't know
5 ★An excellent tool for saving and finding discrete locations. I have used it to save a quick lat/long or save a list of coordinates to put on a map. I have also used lat/long from an existing map to find a lost feature on the ground with it. A nice bonus is that I occasionally need barometric pressure to calibrate a water quality meter which this app provides.
1 ★Stopped working. Pro license popup forever until I force close the app. Doesn't matter if I reinstall or clear cache.
1 ★I paid for this app because it is effective. I would rate it highly except recently it started sharing my personnal data. If this does not change immediately, I am going to uninstall it! Bad - Norton says it shared private data! What happened to my paid for version? I dont need updates like this one. It will be removed if there is not a good answer and response.
5 ★Update: I've deleted this app due to privacy concerns. This company sells your every step to someone. No thanks. Great GPS app hands down. I love the way these people write about their settings and updates, they just speak "people!" Just normal, no bs instructions -- I get that!!! Hopefully GPS Status will help me get back home to my planet. 👽👽👽👽👽
2 ★I've been using this app for years for multiple reasons. One of the big reasons was for the color temperature function. However... this function does not work with a note 9, note 8, S8, S8 plus.. etc. Any reason why? - UPDATE - It's been many months since my review and I'm still waiting for an answer to my question. One star removed.
5 ★I paid for pro version, now after an update, I have to pay again ! You hurt yourself doing this, as I always recommend this app to friends but no longer. 5 stars dropped to 3 only for this practice; not for the excellent app it is. (This problem has now been fixed. 5 stars again.)
2 ★The core app works great the only thing that isn't working for me is the notification that should appear while other apps use GPS, I do have the plugin installed and the background behaviour set but still no notification at all. If you don't need that notification the app works great but for me this app loses a lot of it's value as a tool without it.
1 ★I used to really like this app, but now they've forced the addition of another app to handle Android status notification. That second app hijacks the jump from Google Chrome to Google Maps when you highlight an address in Chrome. Stupid, because when you're looking for an address location on a map, GPS Status is no help and is just an annoyance. Why do app developers do greedy stuff that makes no sense? Now you're never really sure this app isn't running in background and burning battery.
