Glympse is an app that lets you temporarily share your real-time location with family, friends, co-workers and more. It visually answers the question, “Where are you?” Glympse gives people and businesses power to share real-time locations safely, securely and temporarily, regardless of what type of mobile device they all have.The app uses the GPS capability in your mobile phone to let you share your location in one of two ways:
Via a web-based map for a predetermined period with anyone you choose who does not have the Glympse app
Within the Glympse app for a predetermined period for those who, like you, have the Glympse app downloaded.
Sharing your location with someone is referred to as "sending a Glympse." A Glympse goes out as a link via text message. When recipients click on the Glympse link they can view your location on a map in real-time using any web-enabled device for as long as you choose to share with them.
Send a Glympse to let friends know you are on your way to meet them. Request a Glympse from a colleague who is running late to a meeting. Set up a Glympse Tag with your biking club. Create a Glympse Premium Tag for an upcoming local Santa parade. Those you share with can view your Glympse from any web-enabled device, no sign-up or app required.

Glympse Tags
Glympse Tags is a feature in Glympse that allows you to quickly view and share location with multiple friends on a single, shared Glympse map. Glympse Tags are public spaces (similar to Twitter/X hash tags) where anyone who knows the Tag name can view the tag map and add themselves to that map. When you view a tag map, what you are seeing is a map of people who have chosen to join the tag map (example: !SmithFamilyReunion or !SeattleCyclingClub).
Glympse Premium Tags
Glympse Premium Tags is our premium offering in Glympse that provides customization options to personalize and brand the Glympse experience. You can create a one-of-a-kind experience by uploading your logo and branding, map out certain routes you plan to make stops at, as well as other branding elements. Glympse Premium Tags is ideal for events such as community parades, Santa parades, food trucks, marathons, and so much more.
The browser map viewer for non-app users may not be entirely accurate in regions such as Japan, China, and South Korea. Various factors, including mapping data limitations and regional restrictions, may result in imprecise displayed information in these areas.

5 ★I love this app! I use it mostly to show my location while flying hot air balloons so my ground crew can find me and sometimes I even use it while driving to show my location so friends and family can see my location if I need to meet them somewhere or for other tracking reasons.
4 ★This app is accurate and is very easy to use, the only issue I have is that my profile pictures don't sync up. If I send a location using the Google short-cut in my texts one profile picture is sent, but if I send my location directly from the app it uses a completely different picture. How do I make it so that each profile picture is the same?
2 ★Every time we try to use it, it either stops sharing the location or just won't update the location. And that's been since we installed the app. Why don't you have a refresh option?
1 ★It used to work for several years. It stopped working for the last 6 months or more of active/live tracking. This was the reason I used it for so long with out issues. Now its useless. Un-installing until or if ever you decide fix it.
3 ★I have been using this app for a couple years and its always been right on. Its always been accurate . BUT.... i cant say the performance has been nothing more tgan HORRIBLE. it freezes up and sometimes has me spinning in one spot even though i ledt that area long ago. I have unistalled an then reinstalled the app bit srill mire of an annoyance than it is helpfull..
1 ★This app helped destroy my marriage by showing me somewhere I wasn't I had to work 4 hours late and was mix up with pay roll and I didn't get paid for the extra hours the app was saying that I was at a nearby by bar instead of at work I know it might be sounds like bs but it's not
2 ★When it works properly it's great. However, the connection with those I share my location with doesn't work about 25 - 30% of the time. I have to stop early in every trip to check whether it is connecting.
2 ★Try to use it every night to share my leave time and drive home with my wife. It used to work fine on S9+ with Verizon service. Now with S20 Ultra on AT&T it sits at starting point and never moves. Tried deleting cache and memory but nothing has fixed it. Sure hope developers get this working as I see others with similar problems
5 ★Always very helpful in our travels. Most updates on average are every 12 seconds. Havent had any issues with app. I do however wonder if the devs would consider a larger font or the option to zoom in. I do have a hard time reading the names of roads even with glasses. Thanks for your efforts.
2 ★Disappointed. I used to use this all the time but now find it doesn't work very well on my pixel 4. I find when I open a link sent to me that it runs briefly, then it hangs. It looks like the person has stopped somewhere.
4 ★Glympse is easy to use, and intuitive to navigate. I don't know if it's me, my phone, or the app, but occasionally the screen will freeze, and sometimes sharing stops. But even with these little glitches, I will definitely continue to use it.
1 ★We have used Glympse for many years, and gave it 5 stars, but it quit working on our new phones. I went through all the new settings they suggested and it still fails to trend our location. As cyclists, we've depended on Glympse , but now we fill a bit lost.
