Museum Sønderjylland - Arkæologi Haderslev har gennem mere end 125 år udført arkæologiske udgravninger i hele Sønderjylland. Gennem de mange udgravninger – i visse år mere end 50 - har museet undersøgt alle tænkelige typer fortidsminder - fra sidste istid til 1800-tallet.I appen sætter museet fokus på de sønderjyske fortidsminder og et udvalg af de arkæologiske udgravninger.
Appen har fået titlen ”Glimt fra oldtidsdage - 52 fortællinger fra den sønderjyske muld” og blev - oprindeligt - oprettet i anledningen af museets 125 års jubilæum i 2012.
