After filling out our questionnaire, you will be matched with a licensed therapist based on your needs and preferences. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost of therapy through BetterHelp ranges from $60 to $90 per week (billed every 4 weeks) but may be higher based on your location, preferences, and therapist availability. Unlike traditional in-office therapy which can cost over $150 for a single session, your BetterHelp membership includes unlimited text, video, audio messaging as well as weekly live sessions. The subscription is billed and renewed every 4 weeks and includes both the use of the secured site and the therapy service itself. You can cancel your membership at any time for any reason.

2 ★I have been matched with many therapist and none of them actually seem interested in me. I have to to be the one to Initiate every session none of them check up on me and the amount you have to pay for a one text message response a day (if you even get that) is ridiculous. I feel that most people have viewed this as easy cash and I wish I could have a refund. May be a good option for people who are dealing with less severe mental health concerns.
1 ★Great counselors with a catch. You will not be able to submit a claim to your insurance company because Betterhelp does not include standard diagnosis and treatment information on their invoices. Further, they refuse to add this information when requested. You will be far better off going directly to a care provider and cutting out the middlemen. Not itemizing services rendered is questionable business practice for sure. Stay away!
4 ★Great experience, loss of 1 star for forced review by spam comment that gives a choice of not helpful, or rate 5 stars. Wouldn't be a big deal if the only alternative to answering wasn't force closing the app to get rid of it.
5 ★Easy to use on a phone. I like the asynchronous capabilities for when I travel, and the ability to choose a different counsolor if an initial match doesn't work out.
5 ★Love this service 1) be as specific as you want when chosing a therapist all the way down to therapy styles 2) I generally schedule 1 phone call/ week and then message my therapist all week long which is better compared to traditional therapy 3)you can share your journal with your therapist if you find it hard to express yourself sometimes 4) so many way to communicate with them 5) if you find your therapist doesn't suit your style you can find another
5 ★This app makes it more convenient to ask for help. I think that's what iv needed, easy help. The work is hard but driving to an office, being in an unfamiliar place, and having someone pill push wasn't for me. I feel like I'm building blocks and healing.
5 ★Really great! I hate doing thrrapy in person... Feels like too much pressure to me. This is a great option and even better in the middle of a pandemic. The price is just about the same as a conventional therapist, and you can text them issues any time and they get back to you in like 24 hours usually Highly recommended
4 ★I love all of the therapy options available to me. I do wish that they allowed you to pay bi weekly etc instead of defaulting to a monthly payment option. Worth the money but flexibility in how I can pay is ideal.

1 ★This is BS. All I needed was someone to talk to, before it's to late. Ad I seen said it was free. So I thought I would try it. No can't talk to anyone for free. Gotta dig into your pocket. Hopefully I will find someone before it's to late for me. Don't be fooled by this betterhelp bs.
1 ★I paid $360 up front ($90 a week). I got matched with a counsellor within a day. She sent me some generic messages asking about my issues and I booked a phone session in with her. She did not show up to the session. I put in a request to change counsellors. Got matched with another one pretty quickly. The exact same thing happened. Its been a week so that is $90 wasted. I am now seeking a refund for my subscription.
