Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Generally a good app but it every now and again it does think you're offline when you're not. The main reason I'm writing this particular review, having used the app for years, is to add my voice to the myriad others regarding the screen shifting down once the ad pops up at the top of the screen. For the love of **** would you please, please fix it before I or someone else smash a phone in a fit of pique?
1 ★This used to be good but currently only says No Services Available. I'm trying trains out of Waterloo and I'm sure some are running!
1 ★Doesn't work. I used it to pin a widget to my home screen for my commute, but it never shows any data and if I try to refresh it, after a very long delay, it reports there are no trains between the stations I have chosen even though there are. So basically, it doesn't work. The main App is pretty horrible and fill of adverts. I thought the windows phone version of national rail was bad, but this is even worse.
2 ★This app really winds me up! Every time a screen opens and I press an option, the screen shifts down to accommodate the adverts which means I end up clicking on something I had not intended! The timing is perfect to guarantee this happens every time. Why not just leave enough space for the advert in the first place??? It also times out too quickly so that if you switch apps after just a few minutes you can continue where you left off! Come on guys, these are very easy problem to fix!
3 ★This is useful for train times but there is a problem with ticket types. Specifically, for a journey from the south coast to London Victoria, there is no indication of the availability of a Travelcard (a one-day ticket allowing travel on tubes and buses), and no way to find out what one costs. The equivalent website offers this option prominently for the same route. The general problem is that if one thing is missing it's hard to know what else might be, so the app isn't useful for planning.
5 ★The app is fine. Found a minor bug, and didn't see anywhere in the app to report it, so I'm reporting it here. It happens when you're in another time zone and try to look up train times using the Planner screen. It converts the time you enter from your local time zone to UK time. So you have to manually add or subtract some hours to get it to show what you want. Version is 9.4.6.
1 ★I found the train times I wanted...but then what's next? Couldn't see how to view the cost or buy a ticket. Pointless.
4 ★I use it for checking train times and whether there are delays and it does that well, but there is one irritation: there's a small advert at the top of the train times etc. that takes about a second to load, and the page shifts down a finger's width when it does. This means that I regularly end up selecting the wrong item in a list. So, generally it's a good app but can be annoying to use.
1 ★Every aspect of this app is unintuitive. There are 3 or 4 ways of marking a train or journey as notable (favourites, pins, alerts, probably something else), each with their own slightly different effect. On top of that, I cannot figure out how to remove a train or journey from "my live trains" or "my journey". I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and they were still there. I could cope with this, but they (or something related) cause notifications about disruptions and the like.
2 ★This app used to be quite good. However, now it doesn't show live train data. When you request it the app simply gives the message "Loading. Please wait...", And then returns nothing or runs the search continuously. I've tried clearing the app cache, clearing app data, uninstalling/reinstalling several times, and I've even tried the app from other Android phones so it must be a problem with the app. Going to have to give this one a miss unless they can fix this critical bug. Also I understand the need to pay for the ad free version, but given the bugs, the ads are too intrusive to evaluate the app to even consider upgrading to the paid version.
2 ★A very useful tool for monitoring train times and departures, however the developers need to stop adverts popping up and resizing the screen all the time. It just means you end up clicking on the wrong button each time it moves. I understand wanting to generate advertising revenue, but just fix the advert in place... It can't be hard to achieve.
1 ★Utterly hopeless. Since the last update in May it has stopped working and now even the older versions won't work either claiming to be unable to connect to the internet. Admittedly I am using an old version of Android but all my other apps continue to update and function ok, including those of other train operators. Only Network Fail seems to be unable to manage that, just like it couldn't manage a simple timetable update.
