Azuma Hotta（堀田 東）
フォトグラファー／写真事務所(株)J Partners代表取締役
アメリカ生まれ。慶應義塾大学卒業後、(株)フジテレビジョン勤務を経て、現職。
主な撮影対象は「人物」「自然」。写真のテーマは「優しい気持ちになれる写真」。
人物撮影では「AKB48」各メンバーなどタレント撮影も担当する傍ら、一般の方々の自然で魅力ある表情を惹きだす撮影をこなす。
実売20-30台（2012年3月現在、国内見込みであり、レンタル用を除く）、世界最高峰の画質と言われるPHASE ONE社「IQ-180」（8,000万画素）をいち早く導入。
自然撮影では2001年にアラスカでオーロラのブレイクアップに遭遇して以来、オーロラの撮影を開始。マイナス50度にも下がることもある北極圏アラスカブルックス山脈エリアを中心に、現在までオーロラや北極圏の風景の撮影を続けている。アラスカブルックス山脈を含む北極圏エリアで、オーロラ撮影をいち早く始め、続けている日本人フォトグラファーの一人として知られる。
オーロラ作品はポストカードやフォトパネル、携帯電話のダウンロードなど多岐に渡り提供され、自身も写真の展示会や講演会など多岐に活躍の場を広げている。
同時に、幼少のころから沖縄の海で遊んでいたことから、美しい海と空に心酔し、沖縄の離島や世界の海で撮影、東京では人物撮影も手掛けている。
主な受賞歴としては、
APAアワード2013“入選”／JPS（日本写真家協会）公募展“銀賞”“入選”／富士フイルムフォトコンテスト・ネイチャー部門“銅賞”等。
著作に、海と空のフォトエッセイ“あしたのために”（8刷増刷中）、空と星のフォトエッセイ“あすのとびら～オーロラのささやき～”（ともに幻冬舎ルネッサンス刊）がある。
