Von dort führt die Südroute entlang der ehemaligen Eisenbahnlinie Eger/Wiesau über die Klosterstadt Waldsassen nach Mitterteich und zurück bis Marktredwitz.
Auf dem Weg befinden sich viele inspirierende Skulpturen und Objekte, die gemeinsam mit böhmischen Steinmetzen entstanden sind und zusammen den „Weg der Begegnung“ bilden. Dieser führt auf die tschechische Seite und besteht aus fast 30 Kunstwerken.
