Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★The Node.js server side component was a simple install, however from a few quick tests there are some small bugs. For example, on a Fedora system I used as a test, ending a text string with an exclamation mark causes the string to get mangled. Presumably the history of received messages is meant to be displayed in the app, however nothing other than Hello World default string appears. Also there is a Settings in the app menu, that doesn't do anything.
4 ★App is still buggy but server runs quite well. Requested feature - mirroring notification on server and storing that data in persistent database..
5 ★Very simple but powerful idea, well done and it works. I was looking for exactly this so very glad to find it was already done. I typically use it to notify me via my phone at the end of a long-running command-line process run on a Linux system.
1 ★Good Idea but it doesn't work on my phone (LG X Screen with Android 6). It only says "your identifier is: hello world!"
2 ★Hello world bug! Settings not working.
5 ★Great little app. needs a few more features, but is a very good start
5 ★Works great! Thanks for putting this together!
