Graffiti™ is a replacement for the built-in on-screen keyboard, also called an input method. With Graffiti, you no longer type but you draw Graffiti characters with your finger or a compatible stylus. Graffiti characters are mostly single-stroke drawings that closely match the usual alphabet, but are simplified to make entry faster and easier. For example, the letter "A" is entered with a stroke that looks like an upside-down "V", saving time that you do not need to cross the "A" in the middle. Same for the letter "T", which is entered almost like a "7".
There are text and numeric input areas, improving the recognition of your input. Strokes drawn in the text area will only be interpreted as letters; strokes in the numeric area will be interpreted as numbers .
If you were a user of a PalmOS based PDA in the past, this will all be very familiar to you as the input method used by those devices was a stylus drawing Graffiti strokes in an input area at the bottom of the display. But even if you were not a Graffiti user before, you should give it a try now if you find that the on-screen keyboard doesn't suit your input style.
Don't know the Graffiti alphabet? After installing and enabling Graffiti, just draw a stroke up from the Graffiti input area into the main display area and the help screen appears. Tap to switch between the six stroke help screens.

4 ★Love Graffiti Pro. I've used Graffiti since my first Handspring Visor in 1999. I can't stand virtual keyboards. The only issue I have is the fix - way back - that made the writing space take up 1/3 of the screenspace. This is problematic on many web forms. It blocks too much of the screen. Please make the keyboard height adjustable. It would solve many headaches. 5* to 4* but will change when fixed!
5 ★Has been an amazing app and my exclusive choice of input for the last 5 years. Unfortunatey it is just beginning to get a bit flaky with the latest version of android. Gets stuck on producing full stops when you backspace. So needs a bit of an update for which I'd be happy to pay. Update - really appreciate the small fixes to maintain compatibility with OS. However, is again really unstable for me on S24 Ultra - is another small fix on it's way please?
5 ★25Sep2024: Any news on a fix for Android 14 - Samsung One UI 6.1? Still luv the app :-) 15Feb2024: Needs fix for android 14. Graffiti launches when an app is launched even if the app isn't asking for input. Pad stays on. Please fix. 2023 Absolutely luv this app. Have been using it since it was first released. Works great on Samsung phones and tablets. Don't mind not having dark mode in V2. Input area is big and grey. Graffiti is much, much better than any others or typing with thumbs!
4 ★I have used this ever since leaving Palm for Android. It is not perfect but very, very good and better than the other gesture keyboards I have tried. With such a range of resolutions on devices, one size cannot fit all. It would be great if the height of the entry area was based on a user-setting. I have decompiled, hacked around, changed a value, and recompiled to get something that works for me. But thats no way to do this, really.
5 ★have used it ever since original version for Palm Pilot. Extremely fast (once you learn) and no thumb arthrosis.
3 ★Still no respone from the developer. I used it in my first Palm and used to work very well in Android... Still having trouble rendering accents in Spanish. I use Google Pixel 4a(5g). It looks like it has trouble dealing with the larger drawing area.
5 ★the original palm-like graffiti input! yes! i was waiting for this so long ... bye bye onscreen keyboard ... woks like charm on android 13. i just miss 'ctrl' + 'alt' key gestures a bit.
1 ★Doesn't work on my Chromebook tablets, which is so pitty sinch I can use it on my small Android phone; I've used graffiti sinch Palm Pilot in the 90s.

5 ★I'm a fan of graffitti since my palm pilot days. So much faster and more natural than the onboard screen keyboard (i won't use that again if i can help it). Invest in a good stylus and you are good to go. 5Stars.
