A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Spent over $150 to get the Sherlock which I was very excited for, and it won't even connect via bluetooth in the app. At this point in development this shouldn't even be an issue. The Bluetooth on the Sherlock itself works, but I can't do anything with it because it requires a pin. Not impressed. Edit: I know the default pin is 123456. What I'm saying is that it will not connect through the app. It is not connected to my phone, and it can't connect to my phone anyway.
4 ★Hi every body, dont use the metherd sherlock have told you it dont work...try this scan barcode first get iem number mine was diffrrant to whats on the box...delete the app & reinstail, scan in blue tooth for you tracker so that it logs your tracker in bluetooth, Reinstail your sherlock app & log in & start again dont scan the barcode for iem, turn the box around & scan the sqaure check compatibility it will promt you to imput iem number manualy put the iem number you scaned if differant from the box & it should start to load your tracker ive done mine & it is now working fine.dnt like the fact it works of blue tooth tho it worked of location only before.
1 ★Can't even log in!
2 ★So far I'm pretty unimpressed. In order of importance: 1. My understanding was that I'm supposed to mark where I park my bike, and if it moves from there I'd get a txt... Well So far I've been on two rides, my bike is currently at my office with me, has been for hours and sherlock still thinks it is at home, no txt message. Notably the blue dot the app shows is your phone's location not your bike's location. SO it appears that the app is just letting you remember where you parked your bike if you use it and all tracking is only after you report to them that it is stolen?? In which case it only checks every few hours? And you'd have to wait for their slow support staff to respond with the tracking? And there is no way for me to actually confirm that the GPS in the device actually works? 2. I accidentally ordered shipping to the wrong address, I recognized this immediately and emailed support instantly. A week later they shipped the device (to the wrong address) and later on I got a "ah well too bad" style email from support about it. I corrected the issue with the shipper myself at that point but it left me sorely unimpressed & should bike get stolen prompt support would be urgent
4 ★So far so good. App is connecting fine with my Nexus 5X running Android 8.0 Oreo. If I'm behind the bike it doesn't always connect, but if I hold my phone up to the unit it usually takes only 3 to 4 seconds to arm and disarm. That is fast enough for me to not just say "forget it" if I'm making a quick stop. App correctly detects bike movement when armed. However, I have gotten a few notifications when the bike was unarmed, making me believe the "I'm off" confirmation the phone received wasn't quite correct. Other improvements im looking for: I wish the battery icon wasn't grey on black - that's silly. I wish there were more options between 2 minutes and one hour for tracking after the bike has moved. I wish the app had a feedback button in it. It's not obvious you need to click on the bike icon bottom left to change the info about it, especially because clicking on the bike in the "My Bike" pane does nothing. I wish there was configurable battery warnings or an estimate of time remaining if the bike was stolen at that moment instead of "Low." Battery life: about 7-8 working days if armed 3 times per day and not triggered. Overall a good start.
1 ★Waited 6 months after paying to receive device, and it doesn't work. Emailed Sherlock asking for a refund. They asked what the problem was, and I explained that Bluetooth connection rarely works. Their response was just to say Sorry, we're working on it. Apparently refunds are not available for this defective product. Buyer beware!!!
3 ★Not usable yet. First of all I didn't have BT enabled but the Connect button didn't give any feedback that something was wrong, it just did nothing. Managed to get connected then enters a loading phase, reaches 100% then displays connection error. Bar code scan doesn't work, I've had to enter it 4 times now, getting pretty tired. I'm on a Nexus 5X so I shouldn't really be experiencing issues with handset. I hope you manage to get things fixed soon. It's installed on my bike but for now it's doing nada.
1 ★Installed according to instructions, configured over BT, ran test that all looks fine, but I do not receive notification if bike is moved or bike does not show its current position in map. Mailed support, got a tracking number and than silence............. Scam?
1 ★Bought a Sherlock GPS , does not work at all on either android or iPhone . Very disappointed , the hype looked fantastic but I know intend on returning it to the company in Italy . Which will cost me . Don't buy this product it doesn't work ! The only time it locates the device is when it is within blue tooth range , all I receive is notification on battery life . It is never able to locate device when it's in bike , I've wasted 150 on absolute junk .
5 ★Will Sherlock Bike be available for me to buy and use in Australia? (The app works perfectly on my phone)
3 ★App looks good. When is the actual product being released for sale?
3 ★How can I edit a bike in the bike profile? I can delete one and add a new instead, that is the only way I found.
