Le 15 avril 2014, la Suisse adhérait à la Convention relative aux droits des personnes en situation de handicap (CDPH) du 13 décembre 2006, renforçant sa volonté de faire « tout ce qui est en son pouvoir » pour promouvoir l’égalité des chances et prévenir toute forme de discrimination au sein de la société. Où en sommes-nous dix ans après ? Est-ce vrai que tout le monde parle de la CDPH mais personne ne l’applique ? Comment et à quel point la Suisse a-t-elle concrétisé cet engagement ? Que reste-t-il à mettre en place pour garantir ces droits ?
Lors de ce Congrès, le bilan et les perspectives seront dressés en croisant quatre regards : 1) le droit et son application, 2) l’éducation et l’utilisation des ressources pour garantir l’équité des chances, 3) les institutions et les bonnes pratiques pour soutenir l’autodétermination de l’individu, 4) les personnes concernées et leur implication à divers niveaux.
